From what i know, the original song is about 4 mins long, and i edited it to 2 mins 24 secs, and your song cutting appears to be the same as mine never thought i could meet someone with the same mind as mefmalchemist101 wrote:Lok1990 - what do u mean?

lok1990 - oh xD weird...small world lol but i did it cause i didn;t have much to work with in the first place so thats y i cut it according to the footage i had
and to jaddziadax - yes i exported it as .avi defult template for uncompressed, it came out as 128 mb, i did it with the Xvid codec, and it was better quality and came out 230-250 i don remember exactly, and then i tried compressin the avi one with virtual mod to Xvid but the quality didn't change altho it did become shorter quality was worse than the xvid once, then i tried compressing the Xvid one but it didn't work it gave me an error. So i tried compressing it into divx rather than xvid and it still wouldn't work, seems i can't compress an Xvid video, although the quality is the best, and as for teh actual footage, its 620x420 270-300 mb and the quality isn't that good in fullscreen so u might be right about the uncompressed showing the same as the actual, but it seems Xvid makes teh quality better? i donnu for sure but any other methods for smaller size and enhancing quality?
also teh compression "un synced" my audio with video audio became faster or video become slower..

try exporting the audio as a wav (microsoft wav)
Disabling attached audio/adding new audio:
then in virtualdub Mod go to streams -> stream list ->disable stream...
then add stream and point it to your new wav file...
Compressing Audio:
right click on that new audio stream and choose full processing mode, then right click on it again and choose compression, then choose "lame mp3" and pick a bitrate. (192 or 128 seem to work best for playback for me) the lower the number the lower the audio quality, but the smaller the file, you gotta choose for yourself how you want the audio to sound.
anyways try all that @_@ and if the audio sync is still off then it might have to do with the format your source video is in.

most of those videos with excellent quality are made from DVDs (sometimes other sources) and most of those people who made those videos have learned how to use avisynth to filter and clean up some of the "muck" still left in DVDs. Also most of them either edit straight off of the avisynth files, or they render lossless files to work with (the second one meaning you need to have a pretty good amount of HD Space)
fansubs are usually poor quality (at least compared to DVDs), though I have seen a few that are very good quality... not to mention for most of them you gotta crop off the subtitles. With DVDs you are likely to get a better quality video to work with AND you won't even have to worry about subtitles (well for the most part).
As for Kingdom Hearts you are going to have to find a way to capture the footage since there is no way to rip the Disc (yet), or you are stuck with really low quality "clips" people have illegally put online. I'm currently in the process of capturing the game, but I'm probably not going to post them anywhere for people to get them. sorry.
Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides - it's a very good guide... I know it may seem complicated at first, but you you scan the menu for the parts you know you will need (like going straight to the DVD ripping part, or going straight to the parts about avisynth) it is an awesome reference tool, especially when you have a problem.
