left a qc too
Noob question... what does "left a qc" mean? :O Does that stand for Quality Control? Where do I find that on the video page? (And thanks for the compliment!)
Meteor Dragon wrote:Hehehe I wasn't expecting that....seriously. You did a good job or a first but yea there are a few things I could gripe about. What really got me was your flow lol Your editing really kept up to speed with the video. The sync was good and blah blah blah. I think I caught a few orphan frames but still good for a new editor. I'm a sucker for MZ footage and I can tell you put effort into this. I can't wait to see you improve :) Keep it up.
I heart Macross Zero. :) It's funny - I actually am not a big fan of mechas/robots, but MZ's story has a very gripping quality; it's probably the most touching Macross series ever (Macross Frontier is just a montage of fan service...)

On the other hand I like Yukikaze's mechanical designs and aerial scenes better, which is the reason why you see more of that in the action portion of the video while MZ dominates the more "human" scenes.

I am already planning out other AMV projects - thank you for the words of encouragement! :)

-qc's are informal, optional, anonymous comments left behind by people when they leave a star rating... they could say anything... [Download a video, and check your Main page to see what I mean.]

-op's are supposed to be formal analysis of an amv, broken down into 10-point categories. They too are optional, and the editor decides which ops to make publicly viewable [up to 2]. Some examples from my Astroboy vid.

-# op's received doesn't necessarily indicate how good an amv is; in fact, I don't leave op's, just qc's... but I'm weird like that...

oh, and I forgot to mention: check out the The VidID tag stickey in this forum to save yourself some time :)

Omikami_Amaterasu wrote:What kinda of material do people use to cut their first video? o_O
Stuff on this list... mostly the first two usually coupled with some kinda try hard rock band.

now about your video...

HOLY FUCK IN A HANDBASKET!!
That is categorically the BEST first video I have EVER seen.
EVER.

some things for improvement: try and cross fade a little between your clips even if it's only 5 frames, the transitions will still hit the beat it will just be smoother.
I really liked how you wove the two anime together, I just think a little more footage showing the human side would have helped instead of constant planes flying around. Yes I like planes, but it got a little old near the end.
 (and an op to come)
new banzors in the making :p

Amazing work as a whole. And for a first video it's even more amazing. :D

You merged the two anime very well and the air fights were simply awesome.Simple but smooth editing combined with a nice song and a great footage.I'm also a fan of airplane fights so any video with Macross,Area 88 and this sort of animes is greatly appreciated.

4.2/5 8-)

Yeah, great first video! As the others said, great editing, and you blended the animes nice. I liked the scene selection - the airfights and the hi-tech stuff went perfectly with the song.
