That was hawt! I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Quality: Doesn't get any better than this! High resolution, wasn't over-filtered or under-filtered... looked magnificent!
Editing: At first, the types of effects you used really caught me off guard, but I got used to them right away. I think they were unique and well-used for the most part. There were a couple of parts I think might have been better without any effects at all or at least, would have turned out more striking if the effects were more subtle - Like at: 0:14 and 1:13-1:15. I loved everything you did at the opening and ending. You added your own unique personal touch to some of the effects used and that's why I think I enjoyed it so much - it's different from most of what's out there.
Lipsync - Lipsync was decent.
Fantastic job, east_side_assassin! I've already watched this three (or was it four? ) times. I'll try to leave an opinion tonight and I'll be keeping an eye out for your future work.

I agree with some of the things Reda said, but not all of them.
The multiple flashes back into the same room didn't sit ill with me; I mean after all it's not the same part of the scene; it was different each time so it was alright.
I like some of the masking effects, mainly the graphics of guns moving across the screen. The character maskings were awkward for me though, like Reda said, due to the white border around the edges - also the colored cutouts look too angular... I know you used the Pen Tool but the shapes just don't look very natural. I think that's what Reda meant by "Good editing shoud not stand out"; it should be absorbed naturally by the viewer, not so much make them notice the effects.
The syncing was generally fairly solid although I think you used the same explosion several times during the part around 2:03 to 2:15, even though the shots flash by very fast, they are still too similar and became redundant to me.
The aforementioned blood stains... I think everyone's monitor has different color temparature; on mine it's not bright pumpkin orange; it's fairly red BUT still too bright to look natural. If the blood is still fresh, it shouldn't be that transparent; if it's dried up stain, it can be transparent like that but should be a dark brownish-color. I think the biggest problem with the blood stain is that you instantly tell yourself "Oh he masked that" instead of "That expanding blood strain on the floor looks nice - wait, I don't remember that from the anime!"

A for effort and A for quality
It has some neat scene choices, nice effects and some good flow.
Some scenes that had characters taping their fingers or moving their body to the music I didn't find fitting.
Footage had trouble keeping up and matching the music at some parts and that made it hard to keep my attention.
I feel you could had more focus on mood sync instead of slide shows.
Not exactly my cup of tea but I liked some parts of it.
3.3 out of 5.
