  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Also, my trailer's better.
8-)

Thank you for for the nice words about the scene selection and tone. But...The timing is ASS? Are you watching the right video? Seriously, I've seen your Dark Knight trailer, and I really enjoyed it. But I don't see how you can say my timing is ASS when your video and mine both follow the original trailer pretty closely. A lot of the cuts and fades are all very similar in many editor's Dark Knight trailer AMVs because they try to follow the original. As for the lip sync, I got a little lazy with L in the middle, but I paid close attention to Light's. Do you have any part in particular you want to point out, to show me you point about timing? By the way it was your video that made me want to do a Dark Knight trailer. I do like yours a lot. Makes me want to see Heat Guy J.

Thanks for your comments everyone!
I agree with the timing. Not necessarily with the cuts, etc, but with the actual internal sync. Like the sound where Batman crushes the van, you don't show a clip of anything until like an entire second after the sound. Lip sync was no good, and all the internal sync made me cringe. The general cuts and stuff were synched fine though.

It was a decent attempt, but I won't be keeping this one.

I liked it, but it seemed to be missing something. Maybe clown makeup would have helped lol.

Laziness breeds ASS. Don't compromise and half-ass things, especially when expecting criticism. Especially on a site full of some of the biggest elitist nay-saying fuckers since Waldorf and Statler. Anything that doesn't seem like a big deal to you will come back to bite you in the ass when you announce it.

It might be just me, because I have very little tolerance for mistiming in trailers. The audio structure is so CLEARLY laid out, it leaves 0% for error.

As I said, not bad. You just need to run back through videos like this, and make sure your timeline is water-tight. I don't feel I should have to explain mistiming in a video this short.

Also, I should note pretty good use of characterization.

Ok, I just re watched my video, and some parts must have shifted on my timeline, without me noticing. So I'm fixing it. I'll let you all know when I have the corrected version up.

To everyone who had problems with the lip sync and the timing at some parts, I have finished with correcting it and I am waiting on deletion of the old video. I 'll let you know when the new on has been uploaded.

Doesn't that qualify as a remake and not a remaster, which means it needs a new entry in the database?
