Well this might be one of my favorite releases this year. Great concept, very entertaining, and left me wanting more
Almost felt like a bonus track from Dead to the world with the very dark and gloomy atmosphere.
I plan on op'n this when I get a chance. 5/5

Re: Being A Superstar - AniNite 09 - Best Of Pro
I didn't enjoy this at all, it felt like a Beowulf Video except that it was boring.
Plot was predictable, so was every bit of lyric sync. Manson is overdone and feels like every popular song of his really would need something creative and original as hell to keep me interested, also his songs tend to have a really boring main beat that's easy as hell to edit to.
The camera interface effect seemed to only be there for the purpose of having a bigger eye catch thingy in the video and served no other purpose, the noise could've been integrated without the interface design/concept which has already been used too much IMO.
In general the atmosphere felt rather bland and in terms of emotion or passion I didn't feel anything, so I still don't 'understand' your taste but I thought I'd leave my two cents anyways.

I agree with every single thing Ingow said, so I won't repeat most of it. It was just boring to me, the pacing and everything was predictable and bland. Nothing at all stood out, I just didn't enjoy it. Sorry man.

That was very cool, I digged it a lot. Also, glad to see that you were mostly able to get rid of the banding - spotted only some light banding here and there, but due to the encoding settings I think, not much one can do about that unless by using very high bitrates.
Definitely a creepy amv, good job. 5/5

Generally, I hate Manson, but I thought I'd give it a shot and was surprised to find that I liked the video. A little predictable, yes, but overall I enjoyed the mood of the video.

*sigh* Let me reply on the more "easier stuff".
Now to the more harder to answer comments -.-
Uhm... One more thing: Is it that important that a video has to stand out to be good or at least "ok"? I doubt it. This video was never supposed to stand out anywhere.
ThankiesAnimated wrote:It was super-fecking awesome.
GloryQuestor asked me to put a warning sign on the video information page. That's the second time I have to do something like that. I think I get used to it xDAnimated wrote:But one question... is nudity allowed in the local versions of amvs? I believe you have to put the "uncensored" tag in it
Thanks man. About the layer-blending: Maybe next time dude. I think this video doesn't need it.ZetZu wrote:I really dug that, some very nice editing and pace, good feeling and concept.
I was expecting some advanced layer-blending knowing you, so in that way I got a little disappointed.
Still really enjoyed it, good job dude
Thanks for the op! It was very helpful._Sanchez_ wrote:Op'ed great work man
The good/bad comments ratio surprises me in a positive way though. It's still ok to be ok =)Cenit wrote:not sure about this one. Guess it was ok.
Maybe there will be an XviD version later, but I don't know about the qualityBaQuM wrote:That was awesome! Even the low quality version lagged for me...I hate my comp
Glad you liked it. This is exactly the type of themes that I like the most for editing.Kev wrote:First off, I'd like to point out that you manage to archive the same, sick, dirty atmosphere I love with every new video even though you edit it in a completely different style.
Editing was superb, crystal clear video- and audio quality, addition of new-school elements in a video that mostly keeps an old-school feel throughout.
Well, this is the third video of yours that finds a way into my charts.
5/5
Cool. Thanks for the comment!ExSphere wrote:Well this might be one of my favorite releases this year. Great concept, very entertaining, and left me wanting more

Creepiness is my job =)Tearx wrote:woo perfect blue<3

I think it did a great job so far. Even higher bitrates didn't fixed too much. I think I got to the limits of my video source. The dark areas sometimes suck ass, but the brigth scenes are sex. =)mirkosp wrote:That was very cool, I digged it a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed it. mhm... I agree with the video being predictable, but personally I don't have a problem with it. It doesn't bother me.Ilea wrote:Generally, I hate Manson, but I thought I'd give it a shot and was surprised to find that I liked the video. Dude, I like you, but I do feel somehow offended and I really need to defend my work here. I can deal with critism as long as it is based on good points. Here are the things that bother me!Ingow wrote:I didn't enjoy this at all, it felt like a Beowulf Video except that it was boring.

What's bad about a style that's gets close to his? I don't feel like a copycat at all. This is my style and I do love Manson's music (beside a lot of his newest songs...) and I'm a huge fan of him.like a Beowulf Video except that it was boring
That's my main problem with your problem. It feels like you want to say that my taste is not good. This video gives me a lot of atmosphere, emotion and there are parts with a lot of energy in it. Ok you don't like the song. That's fine, but don't judge the video on a opinion that's partialy based on a song you dislike. In general the atmosphere felt rather bland and in terms of emotion or passion I didn't feel anything, so I still don't 'understand' your taste
Come on. It has a purpose and really fits to the theme. Beside the concept and theme it's purpose was to hide the lack of scenes (I mean the internet scenes). Noise alone without the interface wouldn't be a camera view, but plain boring. I could use TV logos and more distortion or scannlines, but that's not the design that I would prefer. The camera interface effect seemed to only be there for the purpose of having a bigger eye catch thingy in the video and served no other purpose, the noise could've been integrated without the interface design/concept which has already been used too much IMO.
It's ok if you don't like it. I don't suppose anybody to like my works. As said: I don't see anything wrong with being predictable. That's what I liked about the video. It's simpel to follow.Crack wrote:I agree with every single thing Ingow said, so I won't repeat most of it. It was just boring to me, the pacing and everything was predictable and bland. Re: Being A Superstar - AniNite 09 - Best Of Pro
lol bauzi i objectively gave it a 3/5 in terms of star rating, that's "ok".
And no, that point has nothing to do with the song, a lot of songs I don't like at first in a passionate AMV, but over time it grows on me due to how much emotion and personal value the video seems to deliver. With your work I just never get that feeling, your videos seem stale, typically german (there is no typically austrian), as in too technical and it feels "bureaucratic" and cold.
Like, you know when someone does art, and the viewer can make out little errors and glitches or here and there a personal touch because it's a certain scene selection that could only be seen as negative for anyone except for the creator himself? That's what I'm talking about, your video felt so predictable because it seemed to follow a fully developed plan and structure, like one of those crime shows on german TV. I hate that.

Hm, I like the conception and the mood, but i realy miss some more beat sync. The editing was too slow for me, well its only my taste. Anyway, because of that i will check out the anime.
