Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I keep reading about people telling the editors of the mep say what should've been done and how it should be done but this is what I have to say.

What's so fun about editting what YOU Want in the video...

If it's any consoloation, me and my friends loved your track. ^_^ I really didn't notice anything wrong with it. I thought it was great. Ok, the Auron Keyblade got on my nerves, since I hate that design, but that was it.
I hope you guys know you did a great job, despite all the pretentious comments in here. It's nice to see a solid, well-edited MEP, and I'm sure everyone worked really hard. To be honest, I wish there was more anime that I like used in this, but the variety of editing styles still made the video fun to watch.

Kudos to you all

and thanx Yoko, ur last post did make a really good point. and I second on that. even when u do sit down and satisfy all these peoples expectations/critques, will still have people that wont be satisfied with the results. So, pretty much u will still have people that wont be pleased. can never please anybody.... :?
oh so actually syncing to a beat or deinterlacing is not an expectation people should have for a MEP of this sort:? .... That makes no sense what so ever. Granted there are many styles of sync but applying 1 correctly is better than not. It's good to see that people still cant take any form of feedback... there being a few exceptions ;). Perhaps you were expecting us to Bow down and worship each track or be completely "Wow'ed" by it? Well that obviously wasn't the case for some people and we are taking the time to type for hours and tell you why. I for one would prefer people to tell me where i went wrong and what to improve than to oohhh and aahhh salivating uncontrollably. Your reaction makes me wonder why anyone should even bother esp since there were no personal attacks made by either Prod or myself (although I'm a little disturbed that we said similar things... must be the burlyness).

@senshi('cause mamo still weirds me out), lol I should have guessed that was your track and yes I do think the outline was to hide bad masking prove me wrong and I'll eat my words :p but like i implied(not said) it was one of the better tracks. And it's good to see someone graciously taking crit.

@Katie, I told a lie I did know that you did that track, I remember the beta and the problem you had and I take full responsibility for suggesting those changes to the masks -_- the Pillusion really does add to it, and what i said about crit to senshi/mamo/josh/person.
new banzors in the making :p

as for deinterlacing - all the filtering was left up to Deshi - I blame him for any and all quality errors :3

Er hem. I've read through this thread and I do think some people were being a little harsh on this, but that's just my opinion.

Even from the start, just the intro really pulls you into the whole thing. Although it starts off a bit slower than I expected, I really don't mind too much, it's a great showcase of each individual editor's skills and style.

It's been awhile since I've seen such a good collection of AMVs, and while ROS3 remainds my fav MEP, this one comes in a close second. You can see every editor has put a lot of effort into this, and I can't even imagine the hours spent working on all the effects and timing.

I really don't have anything bad to say about this, but I would like to point out my favorite tracks:

Batto! and Mamo had my favorites, I'm not sure if it was because of the song in their track, but it just suddenly burst with energy around this point.

I'm a Shana fan, so SacredArrow18's track definitely impressed me, I'm glad it was in there.

Kristyrat, Reigna & Aerialesque's tracks were awesome, I loved the style of them, it was quite refreshing.

Alex Daikou's track really appealed to me for some reason, I love it ^^

All the other editors had great tracks, but it was probably just due to me not loving the anime that I didn't get all ecstatic over it >.>

please tell me your joking :p
I do have to take some of the blame for the softness of some of the tracks though, and I am working on a fix for that on the mkv.

Also, About me making these credits, I only did the 3d part, Niotex is responsible for everything else. (aside from me telling him what I want in it)

Ok I've been watching this over and over since my last post and I think it's grown on me even more. I can't submit an OP since I got my friend to download it (since I'm on dial up) but if I did, this would get a 10/10 in every aspect of it.

I haven't seen a huge amount of MEPs, but I totally feel this deserves the highest score possible. Judging it overall as an MEP, and not for each individual track, there was nothing I didn't like about this MEP and I doubt I'll be seeing anything as good as this for awhile.

Anyway, props to all the editors and deshi for the great job. For me to be able to watch a MEP on end for this long is really something.

Thanks for making such a great MEP guys/girls O:
