Cool video <3 .
Respect  )

Three small bug:
00:35-00:37 slightly lacking in ~dynamics (clock-clock-doors-doors)
01:13-01:14 transition from one fragment to another - video late ~ 0.5 seconds
02:17 at the same, ~0.5 seconds

Honestly, this came off looking rather sloppy to me. I feel like most of the effect work wasn't necessary, and the typography just looked plain ugly to me.

Sorry to say that, but it's absolutely not random, it's a reteling of the original story, you have 2 parts matching lyrics synch.

First part : " Like we did it all summer long ". With "sunny" colors they are spending time together,
Transition : She becomes ill
Second part : " Your girlfriend is drifting away ". With a melancholic atmosphere.

And then he decide to save her, that's all.

I'll not tell it's a huge story like I said it's just a retelling, but we can't say it's random. May be I wasn't able to deliver this story.

Anyway thanks.

Glad to hear this, your "avis" was very inspiring (your use of Sky Crawlers was an excellent idea). Thanks.

Thanks, I think, using overused sources isn't an issue. The main issue is : How to make something different with these sources.

Thanks, but don't think so. For me, The place promised...is one of the most (if not the most) melancholic anime ever. But it was used too many times, with 5cm in a "classic romance story " with the same kind of song (Kelly Clarkson...). Original song is not enough dark for me   .

Oh my.. this one totally pay my attention  I'm mostly impressed your scenes selection, it's so damn good.
Most of effects work quite well with the mood and imo that flowing texts was successful idea
I agree with godix - it's not a romance vid imo, and it has a bit of randomness :)
Still pretty good amv 4,5/5
