Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Re: SubtEXt
Well, we could keep judging each other for judging each other repeat ad nauseum....or we can just let it be and talk about the video itself...
...which I thought was really cool. It had a smoothness to it that I enjoyed. Occasionally, a zoom seemed a little too hard for the tone, but it wasn't a deal breaker or anything, it was only vaguely distracting. As far as the lip sync goes, SZS has some odd looking up-close mouth movements that don't fit the normal standard (much like that one scene in Bakemonogatari that everyone likes to use), I've heard similar complaints about them being "off" when used in an AMV, but I'm so used to them that I didn't even think twice about the lip sync. For me, it wasn't the main focal point anyway, I was paying more attention to the lyrics and the, well...the subtext, haha. (Very clever title, btw)
There's also the added benefit of having this song stuck in my head all week, which is probably revenge for Zomboleo, but it's fine, I like this song. >_>

Re: SubtEXt
I like how it actually felt dark, I usually have a hard time seeing anime/manga as "dark or scary" because its just drawn stuff. I love SZS but that had to be hard to make, seeing as how much there is in the show (3 seasons 2 oavs of complete randomness)

Re: SubtEXt
Thank you everyone for responding, and I apologize once more for the drama.
I'm glad that many of you liked it. I really made this AMV because I was having fun working with Zetsubou in an MEP part and wanted to continue with the footage and the corny color effects. The song wasn't a perfect fit, but I couldn't really think of much else. I agree that the AMV would have been stronger if it had more of a concept than balancing the literal lyrics with the subtextual meaning, unfortunately Zetsubou (the guy) rarely looks at all responsive to the girls outside of the openings and closings -_-'.
So it is what is it; violent and full of panty shots.
