Hm. The editing was good... but I didn't like the song much, and angst just doesn't interest me as much as it used to. This works well as an Eva video, and it's a solid AMV, but it's nothing that's going to stick with me. And some of the text just didn't blend well with the video, but I don't mind.
I'd give it a 3/5.

Hey man, the video was alright. It would have been better prolly if i liked NGE, but i dont heh.
I enjoyed the use of text to try to keep a solid flow of the video. It helped to tell the story a bit.
I just hated the over use of those damn white scenes in the beginning. They nearly blinded me heh.
Ill be waiting for your next vid man

Well I'd like to say that I observed other peoples videos and made changes accordingly to make it more original.JCD wrote:Well the fact that it uses evangelion let's it slide down pretty much for me (in terms of originality). Still, pretty good job with the editing and emotion.
I don't know what to think about the text, I generally don't like text but this one didn't disturb me so I guess it was alright
But I didn't and while that may have been a downfall of my editing skill. I belive that you should make what you have in your mind reguardless of what other people do (or sometimes, say).
And the text was actually something I'm not terribly sure i've addressed yet...
I did the text because this entire time I was feeling very down, and alot of my friends wehre having problems with relationships and etc at the time of making this (and the future project) and. I started writing down what I had been saying, and what they had been. Just little things about love and life and ideals and princibles.
And I eventually thought they would bring out a bigger drama point to the video (like the 8 secounds of pure black with just text). I think for alot of the part it really worked better than expected (I havn't had anyone really complain about the text much).
Thanks for the comments and sorry for the long reply .

You know... I don't know why I kept on forgetting during the credits and encoding (and putting up) part of all this.
But if anyone should be thanked the most (as to the technical actual editing) you should all thank JCD, he went threw the trouble of actually talking with me about what i did wrong with my awa pro video and what to do to fix what I was doing wrong technical wise.
So if you see an overlay and notice it doesnt just cut off, thank JCD for that . And I'm really sorry I forgot to mention you sooner It just slipped my mind.

Shit man. Ever since I saw an early version to this one it had a good effect on me. I dont discount the fact that its eva from the overall quality of it and the effort put into to it. You can tell he didnt just go "Hey that was a good eva vid about shinji I wanna do one too" this had prolly the most originality for a vid about shinji that Ive seen.
