The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Since most here complained about the audiomix I think I might say that I don't think it's that bad. I mean it's not good that it's pure crossfade but somehow it get's a good overview of their works because you used more than just 5 songs like most other MEPs did it. And some of the transitions aren't that bad either, the last one for example sound pretty cool.

Well, i have looked at it, and i didn't liked specially...audio mixing is weird, of course, but not so important.
I just noticed there's no special message, no background or anything. Just visual...and video quality isn't so good :(
Anyway, nice job to all creators.

Bye

Seems me one of the most important point in a multi-creator project. The crossfade are a bad choice and futhermore, part of the songs are not choose in a judicious way.

I've heard the mix, the crossfade isn't THAT bad.

If you're gonna comment, be a bit more vivid and selective. There are plenty of editors in the project so a negative comment on the overall project doesn't do them any justice. :(

Actually, I'm just gonna copy and paste my latest journal entry, cuz I talked about the video in there.
Jen's journal wrote:So, I watched the 30 Seconds to Mars MEP...and it baffled me. The editing was great, but the transitions, both visual and auditory, were pretty bad. There was no "softening" whenever it went from widescreen to fullscreen, and the audio had no phrasing at all. It just seemed like the audio mixer made cuts wherever he wanted to. So, I have varied feelings on this one. Each individual section was a pleasure to watch, but string them all together, and it was less-than-stellar.

In conclusion...it's worth the download if you're into 30STM or want to see some awesome editing, but if not (or your connection isn't all that hot), you should probably just pass over this one.
So you say that the feedback isn't specific enough - well, that's just the thing. The individual editors did a fine job. It's the general aspects of the project that weren't all there. People can't be specific about a broad concept.

I realize that this mostly just reiterates what most people have already said, but that's the best you're going to get. If you do another 30STM - as was suggested on the official thread - all you need to do is clean up the audio/video transitions and the product would be infinitely better. You'd be amazed at how the simple presentation of the video changes the overall impact of it.

Well, that was a much better synopsis than "it was ok.." You managed to recognize some positive points of it and not skip completly over into a conclusion. That was a fair evaluation. Thanks Jen. :D

LOL...sorry man, that is how I felt about it. Some sections were good, others kind of fell flat. I guess it didn't help that I don't really like the music much. Your sections seemed solid though...
