Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

1) Yes, quicktime is not ideal (best would be to try VLC player which has built-in codecs to play most stuff, else Media Player Classic or Zoom Player which are also good)MagusYanam wrote:I tried downloading the movie twice and playing it (using both Firefox and Quicktime Player 7.1.6 - it is an mp4, yes?); all I got was the audio of Ron Perlman narrating; I didn't get any video at all. Should I be using a different application?
2) The reason you can't play it is probably the codec. The video is encoded with a fairly new h264 codec. I suggest getting CCCP for a complete codec package.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Thanks, Otohiko! Everything is crystal-clear now!
I thought the mood was down pat - and I don't care what's been said about the stills and the credits, it did what it was supposed to do, and it was great! Vash walking away was a great touch, nice tip of the hat to FO1. Not too many gripes, except I wish people would make more AMV's of '30's jazz. I looked the Ink Spots and there was only one AMV set to their music!
Guess I know what my next project's going to be...
I gave it a 4/5. Novelty factor was nice, but rewatch factor was a little low.

I see your point, but perhaps it helps a little not to specifically stare at them? At the first watch everyone is bound to take a look at the credits, but after that you can pretty much ignore them.CrackTheSky wrote:I liked it, but those damn credits were really, REALLY distracting.
Very possible. For us who know the game, I think we get some novelty and nostalgia bonus points from this.Streicher wrote:I felt that I missed out by not having played played the games.
Shows one can do something with them.JaddziaDax wrote:yay for still images O.o
