When I read that
Andromeda Software Development were a DEMO group, this video made a whole lot more sense. I really dig it, now. I love the tone and mood of the entire piece. This definitely took a long time to do, with so many layers and sources to work with, it's great to just sit back and watch without having to think about it. Just eye candy for the soul. I do have a problem with most of the text being so difficult to read because they are on screen for such a brief moment and tinted a little too brightly.
If you don't already know about the
MindCandy project, you should check it out. They are an assorted collection of Demos and are a great inspiration to watch. Two DVD volumes are out so far- Volume 1: PC Demos & Volume 2: Amiga Demos. There was another editor I critiqued who mentioned Demos or drew inspiration from them, but I can't remember who it was. There are certainly a few AMV creators who know about the demoscene.
You know what this also reminds me of, an animated music video for composer
Bjorn Lynne called "
Messages" with animation created by Tobias Richter. The style and feel is reminiscent of your video. You can find it posted on
Y0utube, just do a search for Bjorn Lynne and it should be the first thing posted.
