And godix, I really appreciate the effort you put into that metaphor but I wish you could have said more than "7/10" (or whatever scale it's on) because that really tells me nothing except that "godix" didn't think it was great. Sorry you didn't like akross, but grats on getting into finals!

Fine fine.

The intro was kind of interesting and promised an interesting and different style of action video. Then the actual video started and it turned into pretty much every beat synced action vid around. Swing swond to the beat, check. Punch to the beat, check. Random explosions, check. Fast cutting between random scenes, check. Something I've not seen dozens of times before, definitely not checked.

Besides,if someone switched out the song to the typical angsty rock used in action vids, I doubt the video would need to be tweaked at all to fit it. So the video was crap. Well edited crap. Well synced crap. But still crap. And not even new crap, it's the same sort of crap I saw back in 2004/2005 when bleach first came out, just to a different song.

Is lack of originality the only thing that makes it crap? I can't disagree without looking like a douche, but I do agree. Generic action videos are like a guilty pleasure of mine, I went into this just wanting to make a kickass bleach vid to a different type of song. Looking back i guess I could've gone with a "soul groove" kind of feel but I wouldn't have finished on time and i dont think I would have been happy with it. It's something to think about if i ever revisit this source or style again, though. For now, ill mark that down as a success.

To me its the unatural flow you present, the way the scenes flowed from one to another is what makes me hate this video down to the core, the effect use looked "meh" which to the point that it ruins the visual quality(not by much, but i love nitpicking durrr). The song itself sucks ass anyway, if anything its a background video i'd watch whenever i can't take a shit to give me enough REASON TO TAKE THE SHIT.

Imo, I thought the use of blurs&pan-crops were pretty well done. They actually looked smooth and like part of the video and much better than all the other crappy attempts I see people do at them, that look out of place and ugly. Also for what you were attempting, I don't think it could be much better really, so originality can only be a minor flaw in that situation imo.
