Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

It's awsome Koop, it's like it came up from behind and pranked me in the head with a tire iron. I'm still dizzy with joy.

Not me....

Hmmm, this will indeed be an interesting video to review. I have to go to class right now but I will review this oen as well as your Rei video Koop when I get back.

I must say though that there was hardly any artistic factor in this video though. No lyric sync, no concept or hard hitting message....

It's almost as if your just trying to show off what you can do. It's ashame you weren't able to more artistically.

I'll write a way more detailed review on it later ok. BUt don't let my opinion upset you. I'm not jealous if thats what your thinking :D
I kinda agree with you there Carlos, unless I've actually seen the anime, I can't find the artistic message.

I thought the effects were alot more polished and clean looking than Damaged Rei-mix.

I :gasp: disagree. I have not seen the show, but I *think* he was trying to show the relationship the male character had with these two female characters. Again, I haven't seen the show, but that's the message I got. Also the title and effects seems to suggest to me this is a "dream-like" experience (or just showing off :-P). Perhaps the male character is dreaming of his experiences (the song is "Must be Dreaming") (shrug).

However, you're free to feel that way.

I disagree, I think the entire thing was artistic. If you look at the way he presented the video along with his central theme of dreaming it really does have a distict artistic tone to the viewer. I also have never seen the anime but I could tell there was a meaning behind the vid, I think the effects just added to the meaning, which was something I liked very much about the video, it was like watching someone else's dream.

(Plus you have to be pretty stupid to miss the obvious romantic undertones :P )
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I'm still overwhelmed by the amount of responses I've received from the video. Like it or not, whether you found anything artistic about it or not, I'm just glad people are enjoying it. Thanks for all the wonderful replies and opinions.

Wow. Enough said. This is an amazing piece of work. Can't even begin to explain it. You know what you did has far surpassed almost any and every work on this site. Sorry all but its the truth.

You did an amazing job. The vid was probably the best i have seen. I got so wrapped up in the effects i had to watch it a second time to grab the content(i mean this as a compliment). By all means you did a beautiful, beautiful job.

I just released the best video i have done, and it makes it look horrible. I would love it if you could watch it and tell me what you think(what i did right, and what i could improve on). Its in the thread called my best video to date. Whether you check it out or not, i'd still like to say thank you, your vid has given me new higher goals to strive for.

That was the new Christopher Walken episode of SNL, right? I can't find a pic, but MJ has this:
