Wow, the effects looked really cool and of course took a lot of effort. Awesome job, I really enjoyed it! :)

I liked some of the effects, but I think there were too many. The whole video basically looked like a blur of colours and shapes, so I couldn't tell what was actually going on.

I really liked the intro, though, and I think I might have enjoyed this more if I liked Bleach. The effects are pretty neat, so I'll watch this again after I look at the FX-less one :)

godix wrote:Interesting that this should be released right after this topic was talked about. Apparently the groupthink is that AMVs reflect on their creators. So lets take a look and see what this says about Decoy.

Shallow meaningless pointless tripe. Obviously more concerned about external appearances than depth of character. Has no sense of decency or shame. Pointless little dots all over the place, obviously symbolism to the wounds on his body that his AIDS won't let heal. Blatent phallic symbol showing his inner fear about how tiny he really is. Yup, sounds like the Decoy I know. Who woulda guessed it, apparently videos do reflect their creators.
Shot old man, your input is always valued. I'll aim for less AIDS next time [I do not know if this is possible, though]
LockstocK wrote:too many dots :o

nah, fricken awesome vid, was pretty shocked when i saw it on the pro disks ^_^
Too many? So you couldn't see any Bleach? Sweet deal.
OropherZero wrote:yeah awesome vid, i do think that sometimes there are many effects that when combined with the dots ruin some of the visibility of the footage, though this was more of an issue I had when watching naruto technique beat (some of my friends also had trouble trying to see what was happening behind the 'honeycombs' in that one when I showed it to them). But yeah I can see how much work you put into this ;)

I probably like Kenshin Technique Beat the most of the 3 but this one was still a good watch and had an awesome professional like presentation to it.

And syncher is awesome, been using that since you gave it to me way earlier this year =O
I think I need to make this clear. And in a very serious tone. I intented for you not to see too much Bleach. If at some points you couldn't make out what the fuck was going on. So much the better. This was an experiment and I tried to do something drastically different. What it comes down to: Even though you may not approve/like it. I love it. It R0x0rs my s0x0rs.

I still love KTB, I re-watch every now and then. I still get a smile from watching it. I loved editing it so much. Glad ya still like it.

And yes, the Syncher Thingers are way too awesome. I'll be using them til the day I die.

Solly. It happens.

Seriously, first time watching on the pro DVDs I didn't really like it.
By now it's one of my favourites this year. And it still keeps growing on me :D

So yeah awesome job and stuff
Dance category ftw
Hell yes. Thanks man, glad ya like it.

You should mention the vlc player in your video information since it's probably the easiest way to playback this amv.
Sweet deal, done and done.

shazzy wrote:Hate to be the downer in this thread, but...

I'm seeing waaay more effects than anime (or else effects constantly overpowering anime). Not necessarily a bad thing, but moving squares and dots are only so entertaining for so long. Characters/people are much more interesting than shapes and flashy colors...

There's very little interaction between characters. It's one character, another character, another character, in mostly medium/closeup shots. And speaking of medium/closeup shots, nearly every clip IS a medium/closeup. You rarely back off and show environment or multiple people. Throwing us into someone's face every second is stressful :p Have you tried holding a conversation for 4 minutes without breaking eye contact? That's what this feels like.

The effects were very cool, but as an overall video, meh.
Obviously you're a professional, so I will not argue with you.
kisanzi wrote:Dude...you know what I think. This is one sick vid. The effects and composition blow my mind. I always love to see new, jaw dropping effect ideas and this one sets the bar pretty damn high. Great work!

I will not stop until I melt your face.
Minion wrote:i feel that this is the worst of the tequnique beats. i stopped watching it about halfway through, which is rare for me to do with any video, and the first time i've ever stopped watching one of decoy's videos.

the only thing i can give you props for on this is the effort it took.
the video itself was fail though.
at times the effects would drag out for so long, that it's imposible to see whats going on for over 10 seconds.
almost nothing is recognizable.

great sync, obvious effort, but thats pretty much all i can say good about it - this just sucked
Half way through ne? Sorry mate, you missed out. There were even more dots coming. :(

Werd, and the dots fucking killed it.
So basically, you're not hitting it like you mean it.

*Thumbs up*

I think the music/effects gave this AMV a unique feel/style and I got used to the dots after watching it a few times. Only downside was having to re-watch it lots to read the smaller text that flew by.

Nice job as always with these Decoy, too bad you're not doing anymore Beats but I imagine they're a giant time-sink.

PS: Was I just seeing things or did you put "Burns like inthesto" in there?

To say the true i expect much more than News Print effect, i kind a hate him, i also didnt like some moments in amv, but its my opinion. I think this will be one of amv's of the year and will be probably on 7-8 place in top10%, because there is now so many Bleach fans. I never before listen that mix of Chines Burn and was very enjoyable, but i enjoy NTB more than BTB. Still 4/5.

ok atleast you should put most freaky and awesome character in Bleach -Zaraki Kenpachi.
I will probably will left op soon.

I was waiting to see this released after watching it on the Pro discs. :) I like it better than NTB, it just seems to have more attitude, and it looks nicer too. And it made me very happy to see a Bleach vid that actually stood out for once.

I wish I could actually see the darn thing. The vid won't play for me. It's pretty rare when that happens.
