This is best and creepiest video I've seen all year. Your approach to editing this as a live action piece is exactly the attitude I wish more people would start taking. It's refreshing and damn impressive, which I find invigerating as an editor. Conceptually, it's also a very smart video, that is, the effects genuinely enhance the mood and visual atmosphere which I didn't find boring or distracting and kept me interested to watch it through to the end - even though I am almost completely sick and tired of seeing the same twisted Elfen Lied video done over and over again.

Probably should have waited to release it closer to Halloween but still, definately appropriate for the season. Fantastic Work!

I usually like your videos, but this one didn't do it for me. It was impressive on the technical side, but i simply couldn't get into the mood, it was a bit boring at some places and ... i just didn't like it overall.

Hmmm...what to say about this?

This video was awesome from an effects standpoint. You did some wonderful things in this that I haven't seen in another AMV. Right from the beginning scenes with the bloody hand prints in sync with the music it became apparent how much thought you put into this. So I loved that just about that part and the build up it presented because right away I knew I was watching an Elfen Lied video that was incredibly unique.

As for the rest of the video, I thought it...well, excellently showed the contrast in Lucy's character, I mean that was obvious and the song really helped that along from going from the heavy dark tones to the lighter tone and more friendly and whatnot. So I definitely loved the change in tones, it was really well done and a really accurate portrayal of her character, and the separate effects styles you used for those moods also kind of added to your message and made it more clear what you were trying to get at.

Unfortunately I can see why this wouldn't win for best horror video, and thats BECAUSE of those changes. It doesn't carry that dark mood the whole way through. Not that thats a bad thing for this video mind you...but a straight horror video leaves you with that feeling and maintains it all the way through. So while your "horror" editing style was great, the change in the moods made it really impossible to completely classify this as a horror video. Which you and others may disagree with, but whatever.

I've been loving your work since I saw Bladebeat Graffiti (before it was chosen as action video of the year mind you) and I love that and thought that was really freakin cool, and was hype when you came out with Expendable Innocence and now I was just as excited to see this. I think you're really just a very exciting editor to follow because in each video you really push your limits and see what you can do creatively and it ALWAYS comes out looking great and ahead of its time. And the amount you polish your videos is very apparent too; most of if not all of your effects come out looking very clean. So I will continue to watch your vids as they come out always with the same anticipation because thats who you are as an editor, and thats whats so great about you.

Well I've typed out enough....guess what you really wanna see is the nice

Outstanding effects, the effects really matched the mood, everything else not so much... that is until about half way through the video, then visuals from the show started to match with the music pretty nicely. So the first half felt like all flash, no substance and a lot of "look what I can do".

Overall the video is mostly impressive, so I'm probably going to save it to my elfen lied amv folder.

I felt the beginning of the video could of been so much better on scenes(not just effects) matching to the music.

4/5

Edit: Also the visual quality look like it came from downloaded raws. Not saying it did, just based off of sharpness, compression and outlines of mouths, eyes, etc(so not just parts where you cut characters out and put them in different scenes).
