This video makes me want to finish my Explosions in the Sky video. Other than that, well it lacked a little effort here and there, but I guess it's good to get you back into the editing mood huh?
None the less I liked it, due to the sources, still at the beginning I felt the editing a little to hactic and at the end a little to mellow. I want to see more Prodigi Post Rock videos like this only with more effort in them. I guess this is a good restart huh?

You've got me on that one. I never actually watched it, I just edited to it. It was all in japanese anyway. I have no idea what the hell was going on but it sure as hell looked pretty.

only thing i didn't like was the middle part when they are on the bike. I also wish I knew the source better. Other then that, nicely done.

I actually really enjoyed that. I liked it a lot more than your animatrix video in all honesty. Tho, I don't know if that blueish effect was the anime or you, but I would've liked to have seen some more of that because it really enhanced the mood of the video because of how well it worked with the song. If you didn't do it yourself it could be pretty easily replicated in AE. Small complain tho. I really dug this and don't have too much to complain about. Good stuff.

I didn't do any effects (except for some subtle - or sort of subtle - stuff about 2/3rds in) so it was the source. I thought about replicating it but I decided I wanted to leave as is since it was only on the flashback/childhood sequences.

Really amazing stuff, enjoyed the whole video.

Good song, but for an ambient video not minimalistic enough. The storyline felt dull at parts because you still were somewhat forced to care about it too much. Also the entire source felt too 'japan-focused' for my personal taste. Seen those types of train and school uniform and walking back home and riding bike scenes all before a hundred times, does nobody ever tire of them?

That's coo Todd. I see where you're coming from. And I appreciate that you're honest and not like "i liked it" like a lot of people do when they critique friends vids. I wasn't really trying to pull off anything cool I was just messing with sources and felt like finishing/releasing something.

After the negative comments here, wary of the scene selection and also being really not a fan of post-rock in general, I sorta went in to watch the preview for this skeptically...

What the hell is wrong with you people, this was awesome. Great atmosphere, in fact you exploit the mundane bits of the footage really well and actually make them interesting. It'd be easy to drop the ball on something so slowly-paced and non-story-oriented, but obviously you knew what you were doing.

Good stuff. I for one am glad you made that. Definitely a strong instrumental vid
