You seem to be thinking that you need effects. This is a falsity. What we are trying to say is to add more cuts and change the scene more frequently. Maybe try synching a hard cut to the beat. You don't necessarily need effects, although, when done right, they can add to a video.

Basically, just change the scenes more often.
