One of my friends here is studying in the intensive language study program at Keio - he's made it his lifelong quest to introduce sarcasm into the Japanese language.

LMAO! But is there NO sarcasm in Japanese? Never thought of it really... no wonder their considered 'up tight'. I mean, I don't hold it against them and I wouldn't even joke around with what the initial poster replyed with (hopefully it was a joke) as sarcasm NEVER translates... heck sarcasm doesn't even translate English-English sometimes! ;p But if somebody 'introduced' japan to sarcasm that'd be a great service to the world! I mean, it's not a greek-based thing like our deffinition of accents, the Chinese can be pretty sarcastic at times if they like AFAIK.

Then again the poster is sort of right, like how the influx of Japanese imports at the peak of their careers are SERIOUSLY screwing up the ROY records in Major League Baseball. So if you take this as seriously as a national past-time than I can see how you are getting mad about your HOBBY not about the influx of foreign ideas really -_-.

Heh, but this is a very good sign. The more global the .org gets, the better.
