Just finished watching it yesterday and it has been the most looped video I have probably ever watched. However, this may be due in part to it being one of five videos that I have at the moment (due to an abnoxious hard drive crash several weeks ago wiping out my collection).
Still it's what I was expecting the finished product to be.

What I didn't like about it was the Utena scenes. For some reason, having seen those Utena scenes OVER AND OVER again in every FECKING UTENA or various themed AMV, they have simply become cliched. But I take that in good grace, as they were still really pretty and did the job well. I'm just dispensing bile here due to something that truely irks me.
Another thing I found aesthecially strange is that I can't seem to get my head around the scene choice. You see, there have been so many videos edited to this song that I sometimes found myself expecting Yuki to show up taking a huge amount of damage from another AMV using the same audio. But of all the videos using this song choice, I find this the most "visually appealing", while perhaps not the most "deep" plot wise.
Although I'm beginning to see a trend in AMV's, using this same format. IN the last week, I've seen THREE videos using the same format as this one. Various Anime + Deep Emotional Song + Pretty Shiney Effects = AMV. Not that I'm complaining, bu8t they are getting to be pretty samey lately.
But I obviously liked it, because you seem to always pull of the AMV equivelent of premium crack cocanie and I find myself immered and addicted to your work in a matter of minutes.
In short, fecking awesome.

Seems like the trend nowadays is to use multiple anime sources.
Nice transitions all over the place, superb flow and nice scene selections.Visually it's not the best but it's really good and the audio choice was spectacular(plus it rises the reviewable factor^^).
All in all,a great amv.And the very fact that you chose the favorite anime of yours and made this to them makes it even greater.
6/5

forgotzen to actually post my thoughts? wowz...
It's a Amazing video. You built up a very clean and pure atmosphere that felt really refreshing and screamed 'Awesome!'. Very well edited and i really love the transitions. The mixing of the anime was also very nicely done and worked out very good aswell.
My only complainment would be that like 2 frames in one of the masks looked a bit iffy xD But yes, A very awesome piece here :3 This goes to my top listz

I honestly couldn't resist using Utena >.< I know the scenes are overused and the movie is overused as a whole, but it's one of my favorite anime and I just adore the dance sequence >.>CodeChrono wrote:Just finished watching it yesterday and it has been the most looped video I have probably ever watched. Yeah, I've also been noticing a lot of Various, Dramatic AMVs coming out (fecking loved Funky's x3)
But I'm happy you enjoyed it =w=
Ohya, did you just essentially call me a drug dealer? xD
I actually started the project months ago and worked on it on and off, and it was delayed quite a bit due to computer crashes and loss of an external hard drive (RIP Haruhi ;__;)Full Metal Sempai wrote:Seems like the trend nowadays is to use multiple anime sources.

Thanks >_> But like I've said, I kinda gave up on editing it...I couldn't stand to work on it any longer and while I'm not very happy with the finished product, I'm glad people are enjoying it none the less =P
