After watching this video, I have the urge to go and punch people in the face.

It was about time for these two boxers to meet then, eh? Overall a very enjoyable video but the live-action segments didn't really work for me. The masking is done well but there's something really awkward about the compositions concerning live-action footage. It really jumped out for my eyes and the two elements never really looked good together, at least in my opinion.

Definitely a keeper anyway.

That's bullshit! You've got characters with goals, and of course you've got a progression of how they achieve those goals. And that to me, incorporates part of the qualities of story. And honestly, it's the main reason why I actually liked this vid. If there's anything that'll sell me in the end, it'll be a vid that has a solid concept for me to relate to.

I'm going to have to echo Esrhan too on the masking though. A lot of it really stood out and there's a real lack of "blend" for the composites. In the future, I recommend color correcting both the foreground characters and the background in order to achieve this blend. It's really awkward to have a masked character with a warm temperature, placed in a cold environment. Especially when you have the live-action characters cold and the anime characters warm.

Wow, that's a pretty amazing observation. I actually never thought of that.

Obviously the composites weren't going to be 100% perfect and I did more brightness and contrast adjustments since most of Rocky's footage is dark.

Well, if "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" taught us anything, animated characters practically have immunity to any type of weather. Let's just leave it at that. :P

Good work, a decent tribute indeed. Naturally the masks on the live action characters were a big weird, but it was pretty cool havin them fight like that. The sync seemed a bit too basic .... but i guess that's what you wanted.
Man, i swear, are you addicted to masking or something? lol
I'd give it a 4, but your in RDS now, so you get a 3! > : (

I liked this video because it was a tribute to something greater than the anime. That made it a unique enough concept. I found the video to be somewhat repetative (only so much airboxing can hold my attention) and while I was watching it I lost interest in the video itself and my attention turned to "how else is he going to try to blend the live action with anime". I started watching only for those scenes after a while, which isn't a good thing.

It was a gutsy video concept though, and it was pulled off well. Some of the masked scenes were eyesores, but the majority were tasteful well done. I guess what I'm saying is I admire and respect this video more than I enjoyed this video.
