  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Well overall once you ignore the fact of the logo and subtitles in the video the sync was okay. I felt parts of it you had the right scenes and some of the sync was good. You have some parts were I think they were well edited. During the fast cut scenes those were pretty much well done. There are a lot things that could be improved in this video, but the concept is there. And I think you could do well if you focused on your next video a little more. As for the sub and raw footage if you use script files you can clean them up more, that's if you work with Premiere. I know you can get rid of the subtitles by Virtual Dub like it was mentioned earlier on. If you want send me a pm I will leave you a detailed review on your video. Now I'm going to warn you that it is not all going to be praise, nor will I go on a meaningless rant tearing apart your video.

I give this a 2.5 out of 5.

wow, i saw a 4 page announcement thread about a naruto amv and i was wondering what craziness someone made, i've only skimmed the previous posts but a lot of this looks like a flame war, i havnt seen the amv but taking that it's his first, and that he's actually interested in making amvs i say just give him some brief constructive criticism, point him towards the guides and let this thread rest in peace

Windows Movie Maker and Virtualdub (interface from hell) are the only "free programs" that i know of

but it might do to check the software list to see if anything else fits your ideas

ps. you can get good quality from WMM but it takes alot of work/patience

It really isn't that hard. I could do it easily if only my computer had a bit more Ram so I could save in a higher setting without cutting it up.

Encode your clips correctly, export in high quality, use Virtualdubmod and Avisynth to clean up...that's about it really.
