  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Thanks In Advance,

I believe it is good, Its definitely worth a viewing and it isn't too long if its not really your thing.

I like Eva and NIN, so I took the time to view your amv, and I found it to be quite nice, even though this series has been overused. It was simple editing, nothing too flashy, and that's how I like em.

Just try to come up with a better concept next time, though. Ya?

Other than that, this amv was a lot better than some of the Eva amvs I've seen in the past so, nice job.

^_^
Thanks for the comments, yeah I agree the concept is nothing new but this was really designed as a follow up to my last video.

Yeah but hey, best way to make it better is to still not let it die 9 hours later.

This video is solid. Solid execution, solid cuts and most of all a solid concept.

This isn't high art folks. Stop acting like videos are going to cure cancer. AMVs are fan creations and nothing more.

There were synch issues at the start. While using rubber bands is not an effect, when used in a strobe fashion, I'd say it can definately be considered an effect. The video's originality was pretty bleh, because it's the standard Shinji/EoE vid. I was expecting something a little more in depth when I read what you were trying to do, but I found all I was getting was a collage of flashing images. I understand the general concept of what you were going for, but I feel I should direct you to this video. While not using the same concept as yours, it still aimed to achieve a relatively similar feeling.

I didn't really feel like there was much connection between the two sources. While the song has a hectic side to it, I feel you should have focused more on the creepy side towards the start, because by keeping the style fairly consistant throughout the video, when it reaches the 'climax' at the end, it feels pretty bland compared to some of the earlier stuff.

Yeah I see where you are coming from with not focusing on the creepy aspects. The only reason I didn't was because I was only using EoE and I ran out of usable footage that fit the same mood, near the end. So it kind of limited what I could do with the footage because of the lack of it. I appreciate your comments and that you took the time to review it.

Didn't really like this DCG.
I especially don't like when amvs revolve around the song too much.
It leaves the images with no strength by themselves.
To achieve unity, the images should feel correct even if no music is playing. I think.

I don't give a crap about what anime or song is used (even if it's "overused"), as long as it's developed well. In this case I thought it was pretty neat. It's different from your regular editing style, but only a little I think. All the BS arguing is kind of childish though. Oh well, I guess that's what happens when everyone thinks they're right... maybe that's why international relations are in the toilet.
