In point of fact, the first scene I created was the one where Vincent shows up, which is around the halfway mark. ^_^ This video was not put together linearly, I kind of started in the middle, accidentally made the "recorded earlier part", put Cloud on his motorcycle, sat Tifa by the phone, drove Sephiroth to California and then took it from there.

The "giving up" you see was a calculated backing off of the funny sauce. Around the middle of the AMV, I felt the the footage could start to hold its own in the amusement department and things were getting a little too involved to keep throwing in distractions - the stage had been set, it was time for the characters to do their thing (with a little help from TNN when things needed to be yanked out of AC action AMV territory).

I tried not to interfere with naturally funny AC scenes if I could possibly help it because there are so very few of them; they needed to be alone in the spotlight to be fully appreciated. (I think there's maybe four or five such scenes in this AMV, big whoopie, Drift. Sorry, I'm not going to cover up Rude getting whacked in the face with a bunch of red text!!) I also didn't want the footage perpetually propped up by external comic devices, because I felt that made it much more difficult to believe that what was going on with AC could hold its own as an integral part of the AMV.

And that was not one scene slapped on the timeline, I WISH it could have been so easy...this entire AMV is chopped up into hundreds of little bitty pieces. :)

That was pretty neat, though I do have to agree with some comments that some parts of the video weren't as interesting as others and felt a bit lacking at times. It was pretty good overall, I liked the magazine/newspaper effect =). Oh, and the ghostbuster symbol with Cloud's sword was neat (probably more so for me since it was the "Buster" sword, not sure if that was intentional though =P)

I knew I was trumpeting you for a good reason after your first vid. :D

Loved it. Loved the "NPC deaths" on the crawl, the footage was gorgeous, the magazines were great...just awesome. Thanks for keeping your originality up and going.

Yeah, the middle sagged a bit, but it does in the song as well---obviously just filler, so I think you did a great job with what you had to work with, audio-wise.

And the "dogs and cats" living together shot is my favourite. :D

*scratches head* I had no idea 'Bustin was going to get this kind of reception, but I guess now is as good a time as any to make a very general but very sincere statement: it makes me so happy that other people enjoy this AMV. That's all I wanted - not making a technically and thematically perfect AMV, just making an AMV that is a fun experience all kinds of people can enjoy.

I think Kristyrat said it best, "I found myself with a stupid grin on my face for most of it." If 'Bustin did that to you, then that's what really matters to me.

You should be very proud of yourself. I know I kind of went a little harsh on my review, but I still really enjoyed it. That's the true point of making AMV's, or at least in my point of view. Making an AMV that others love and enjoy.

Oh, and as for titles...

I was thinking that uncompressed PNG Photoshop files or perhaps a professional title making piece of software would make it unfuzzed. I know my titles I make in Premier Pro don't turn out like that.

I really liked what you did with the magazines and all, but beyond that, I didn't really care for it much. With the footage presented (being roughly a straight scene from Advent Children) it was sort of boring when there weren't any effects present :|

It may be a straight Advent Children video where the scenes are from about 4 minutes of footage... but damn that was entertaining and made me feel very nostalgic.

Man, I can't believe I was 14 when it came out. *cries because Ayanefan is old!*
