A most excellent video! I probably watched it four times in a row at first glance, dozens of times by now. Certainly a keeper. I'd been on the fence, but now you have me curious enough that I'll have to go watch Soul Eater.
While I wish the lyrics in the Manson version of the song were as understandable as the original, Manson's creepy sound made a great fit to the footage. It would be neat to see what you'd have changed if you had more time.
Well you made my Halloween! Thank you.

Ah, yeah, Shinigami. The goofier Shinigami scenes were actually some of the first ones I out on the timeline, and I ended up really liking them. I know they do kind of stick out, but I rationalized it because Excalibur felt kinda goofy as well. Finding good scenes of him was relatively hard as well (I think it's ep 48 where he's all hardcore, but he still looked pretty silly to me). I do apologize for that though.Vivaldi wrote:... A couple of scenes, such as the shinigami dancing felt awkward and out of place. And lends itself more to soul eater's cartoonish side, which you in general did a very good job in hiding. All the context needed for the video was essentially provided by the song, however to a certain point I feel something that linked the video together in a more dynamic fashion would be nice. I want to tread lightly here, since I've said story isn't always necessary myself. However while each sequence and phrase works wonderfully on it's own, it ultimatally makes the video feel pretty ephemeral.
Overall 4/5-5/5 depending on context. One of the best videos I've seen from you.
I hate to keep asking questions like this, but Im not sure what you mean by 'something that linked the video together'?
Thanks for the detailed comment, I really appreciate it~

I'm sure I've mentioned it by now, but this is my favorite series right now, I can recommend it whole-heartedly. I hope you enjoy it if you do check it out. I didn't really like the first half of the video, but it really picked up in the second half.
