Re: War of Two (remastered)
Hey, stop that encoding talks already. You recompressed already lossy source and claim it to have the same quality? Don't joke like this. I've seen a 273MB version of this vid (lossy, but not that lossy as this) and I can tell that this version is probably the greatest compromise one can get. You should know what kind of noise is the most bitrate-consuming. Or did you see the lossless version to talk that big? If you think you're so good let's ask Gaurry to upload several gigs of lossless and then measure PSNR and SSIM on this version and on yours. I'm pretty confident about the results since he used my tool for encoding. I'd really prefer if you discuss the vid itself and not the way it was encoded.
And also I really don't like the way you're talking bad about Russian community in general when there's only one person in it that irritates you. I don't like him too, but he is he and community is community. And I've never seen such persecution on this forum. He most certainly deserves it, but I thought you have more dignity.

Heh, I already said I was sorry for the line about russians although it was not my doing (and if you check around you'll see that Mister Hatt has a bit of a behaviour with everybody so it's not like it was a specific thing). But seriously let's stop this encoding talk. This is all getting way out of hand for such a small thing. :\

mirkosp, I knew you're a good guy
Ok, for the vid itself: I already posted it in Russian forums but translate it here. The vid isn't actually bad, but

I liked the very beginning (silhouettes) and color correction for eyes. Oh, and yeah, SUZAKU KIIIICK! XD Also the motivation for the enmity between main chars was understandable. I didn't like the sync, this song demands a lot more solid one. And I thinks there's way too much noise — is it Brownian motion sync or what? About 3.5/5 for me.This is painfully generic for somebody who boasts originality so hard

Re: War of Two (remastered)
I liked it.
It seems like the bar has been raised quite a bit if this video is considered bad. I know a few videos from a few years back that people liked a lot with the same or worse editing, but now this year people are extra picky I guess.
I haven't seen the series and I haven't seen the original video. Looking at the before and after shots, I thought the color changes would bother me and the fact you used disturbed I thought it would work with darker colors, but to my surprise it worked for me.
And a lot of people seem to have had some bias before watching this video because of the creator. I understand that and all but I think because of what people think of the creator personally effected how much they may have liked it. I know that feeling.. that unstoppable bias.. lol. Though I can see many reasons people may not like it besides that.
Flow wasn't horrible, some scenes I felt flowed quite well and I did enjoy certain scene choices that matched the song very well IMHO.
I would give it a 3 out of 5 for general editing but since the visual quality was so pleasing to my eyes and the fact that I did enjoy a lot of the effects(sorry guys) I give it 4 out of 5.

Not very exciting, but good. =) 3/5!
I'm always intrigued with masking, that phenomenon I can not grasp... How you did you do it? For example, on that image of Euphy you have on your 1st post?
Thank you in advance.

I cut out Euphy by mask and have put her on a scene with the sky. image of Euphy is changed by filter "Levels" for the best combination with sky-scene. mask parameter "Feather" is equal 1 pixel.Tru_Blu wrote:Not very exciting, but good. =) 3/5!

Just one more question, please: The mask is done manually?

of course manually. tools of "auto-capture" in different programs badly work in amv.Tru_Blu wrote: Just one more question, please: The mask is done manually?
