I wasn't expecting this till the year 2009 o.O
Overall, I think the project is awsome!
The editing and transitions on the segments are really cool
also the intro was really impresive.

Can't wait for Ayumix 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19 and on.
I looked into the future and seen that AYumix 15 is gonna be really sweet!!
Right now I can't reconize any of those editors in it though.
Another thing i saw in the future is in feb 2014, Pas1990 will
finally release an AMV!.
Till then we will still be seeing that "AMV Loading...20%" banner.
Gotta pimp this project on my site whenever i get that thing updated.
Anyway, this video gets Yuko Ogura's Seal or Approval!

ok... I liked the MEP, but if people are going to call it the best MEP of the year I hope its not because people used TONS of effects to make the tracks look cool and DON'T synch to anything at all. I mean the effects are supposed to add to the synch and maybe other factors, but this was just too much, lots of the tracks just used effects for the heck of it and impress people, but in my eyes that really dissapointed me. Kudos to the people that really used them to synch, cause they looked cool.
I will agree its the best MEP I have seen this year, but not by far, just an inch. I was really expecting more.
I would go in more detail with each track but with what I already said I know more than half the people in this topic will disagree with me.

So last night I started watching this and around the third minute or so there were loud cries of "Oh fuck no, the color offset effect? What shit is this? Am I watching a music video of a god damned adobe stock effect demo? Whoever did that needs to be crotch kicked. Or maybe tittie punched if they're female. If you crotch kick a girl you're likely to get your foot stuck in there and that'd be downright embarrassing to explain at the hospital." This was fairly quickly followed by (in order) me turning off the video, me reassuring my wife that I haven't gone insane, and me reassuring the neighbors that I'm not actually going to crotch kick a woman so hard my foot gets stuck in her twat so they don't need to call the police. I'm not so sure how well I did at that last one actually although the fact I haven't been arrested yet means I might have gotten away with it.
Then I decided I might have been too harsh on the project. After all there was a good 12 minutes or so I didn't see. So I'm going to watch the entire thing right now and type my thoughts as they pop up.
Intro looks nice. Of course you see each editors name for like half a second so if I actually gave a shit who was in here I'd have to pause the stupid thing to read it. But an into where the effects are so overboard they get in the way of the actual purpose of that segment is well suited to this project. Lets me know right off the bat what I'm in for. Props for that I guess.
Shouldn't an upbeat dance video be, you know, upbeat? WTF is with showing random people standing around doing nothing and tossing effects all over it as if that actually makes the video upbeat or something. If you can't figure out boring footage + effects does not = dance then just stop editing for fuck sake.

Ok the solid orange silhouette was kinda cool.
MOTHERFUCKING COLOR OFFSETTING BASTARD! KICK YOU IN THE NUTS! ... No ma'am, I'm not actually going to kick anyone in the nuts. Please don't call the cops.
Another ayumix logo. I'm starting to wonder if this project is just a giant game of Where's Waldo with the logo.
I see black squares on the sides. While I suppose it's nice they FINALLY passed their preschool shapes test did they really need to prove it by putting squares on the sides?
Ground beef. Pork chops. Milk. Vaseline. Rubber gloves. Cardboard tube. Hamster. We're ok on bread. Some fresh fruit would be nice. Oh, sorry, I dozed off and was doing my grocery shopping list.
I have no idea what anime this is but it look like Eva meets Sonic the Hedgehog. Odd. Oh look, someone is having way to much fun with 3d. Another ayumix logo incidentally. Wonder how many I've missed already? Did that cube just grow a bunch of lines like a fertilized egg? Dear god someone stick a coathanger in it before it gives birth to Ayumix 3.
Wow, color me impressed. I don't know japanese so I have no idea what the lyrics are but this is the first track that makes me think that maybe, just maybe, you guys do know. Too bad paying attention to the lyrics almost guarantees fail as I've learned in the past.

People dancing? In a dance video? I'm surprised deshi allowed that. Must have run out of people standing still and staring at each other or something.

Well at least some people liked my track instead of calling it boring....and I guess I could of used just sailor moon. I can care less though what people think or what they think about me it's a video. Enjoy it or don't enjoy it.

I pretty much liked this at AWA so I wanted to see it at home for a while...
... what a difference. To be serious, I only liked two tracks.
I just thought the main thing why I didn't like it so much is the music, much of it was way too pop-ish and would be an example to describe bad electronic music for me. Which is also the reason why I didn't participate again. Except for the second song, there were almost no nice irregular beats or breaks to hit on, just excessive synthesizer melody and dull bass which screamed for making Colorful effects, 3d-Stuff and Particle Illusion.
Which is just what Editors did. Alot of the tracks seemed like you guys just tried to go all out seeing what you can do with effects. Basicly that's just fine (and I basicly did nothing else on my track in the first one), but the lack of oppurtunities for sync in the music also leads to dull bass synching which makes alot of it feel disconnected.
So, sorry people, but for me the whole thing failed already with the mix. I clearly got more picky over the last two years, but I watched Ayumix 1 right afterwards to confirm for me that I still like it more, and yes, I do
