I'm pretty late with my comments,but...
Okay, probably most editors here on the .org know, that I really dislike effects-heavy vids,so I was very strict when watched this one.
At the very start,I noticed 'effectiness' of this vid,so I was prepared for even heavier stuff after that, but was pleasantly surprised by the fact, that vid tends to keep almost the same level of effect-heaviness,and that's where I thought - 'Hey,maybe I'll like this one!'. But after watching first 2 minutes I noticed that video feels almost the same way as the series itslelf (meaning : It's very hard to understand anything),and it kept me close to monitor, because I like confusing stuff.
Song was really something,I've never heard anything like this before (I wonder if it's really a song? o.O) and it just made video more interesting to watch, because I like new(new to me at least) stuff too. Not much lyrics, weird sounds and that strange voice too, sounds really weird(in a good way) and interesting. Really fits to Lain.
Scene choice looks very random, but I must tell very 'Lainish' to that,as series seemed pretty random at first too Amazing sync made it look really well made, and actually could make you think that series was like that to begin with. And this is what I like about latest effects-heavy vids, since they're really fitting.
Video seems kind of horror, but since I wasn't scared at all,I'll just leave it as is,and won't comment much on this area.
I myself really dislike effects-heavy vids, but tend to check 'em out just because I really want to see the way they were used. Can't tell that I loved this vid,but I really didn't hate it. Probably will watch it sometimes, when I'll feel like watching some confusing stuff (in a good way of course)
3.5/5
P.S. : Who's the girl in the vid? o.O

Great vid!
Thanks TJ! I honestly think your video Smiles should have won best horror, that one just freaked me the hell out (is there any way I could get that, btw?). It's interesting you don't see this as horror, but I love that you don't because it means I made a video that can be seen from multiple perspectives, and that always makes me happy.Tsunami Jones wrote:I really enjoyed this in the contest (definitely one of my favs), but . . .
I didn't think of it as horror . . . at all. Seeing as how everyone else did, I might just be too out of touch with things, but I didn't find it freaky, disturbing, frighting or any of that stuff. I did find it to be a very sad video though, and semi-depressing to watch. . .
But anyhoo, and congrats on the wins!
Also, we missed you ;_;
Hehe, thanks for the comments!Ghet wrote:same... i think it was cause of my single frame attention to detail tho, fast flashes of scary images dont scare me anymore, but it deffinitely had some frightening parts

Thanks Deshi! Glad you liked it!Bakadeshi wrote:creeped me out on the pro discs :O and was probably the one vid I thought would take the chance of me getting artistic category away ;p
definately deserved the awards it got, good work.
O: Thanks Fizziks!Fizziks wrote:This video reminds me of a dream I had recently...don't know if that's a good thing though...
Excellent work and congrats on the win! Thumbs up
Why does everyone like the credits so much? They suck Thanks for the comments!WC wrote:Friggin awesome vid man. Wasn't as freaky watching it this time around as that first beta a while back, but there were some parts I didn't quite remember. Well-deserved wins As for the credits, post-it notes ftw!
Thanks Kiki! Too bad you couldn't have seen it on the big screen ;_;Kiki wrote:I remember the beta for this Wasn't *as* creepy the second time I watched it, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless.
</end guilt trip>
For real this time.
Heh, thanks for watching, and glad you liked it!meleechampion wrote: EDIT(again): This was, unexpectedly, a whole other level of cool. I don't think I've seen anything else like it. Why it was so creepy I have NO idea.
Aww ;_; Thanks for watching!Turbo wrote:It was pretty creative, but it didn't frighten me at all.
There were three other horror videos, and I know at least two of those other ones were live action so they can't be hosted here. Thanks for watching and commenting! At least it scared you at some pointScorpionP wrote:(I didn't see any other horror vids from AWA, but this is well worth the spot!).
>_> Thought you'd appreciate that. It's nice to hear you say all those things, thanks for commenting!Reigna wrote:Really good stuff, Crackerz. Definitely shows your range as an editor, and it was nice seeing both you and the vid getting some recognition at AWA. Very creative concept that was executed very well, which is obvious by all the people freaking out when this was being shown. XD
Love the ending credits too. Hehehehe...
"Downright weird" is definitely a compliment coming from you Todd showed a few of your videos at his panel, one of which was Mama, a video I hadn't seen before. Oh man, I could not stop laughing for the life of meOtohiko wrote:Oh wow, totally Lain!
A pleasant surprise. Didn't expect you to pull something so downright weird, but it turned out awesome. Don't think there's anything about this that I didn't like!
Anyway, thank you very much for the comments!
Thank you! I really wish you could have been at AWA man, we missed you. Make sure to make it to ACen again, mmk?Kristyrat wrote:Definitely something I didn't expect, which is a good thing, I suppose. Wasn't very 'horror' to me, but totally creepy, without a doubt. It also seems like this video goes a lot deeper than its surface presentation, and while I can't really pinpoint where I get that feeling from, it's definitely something welcome in this kind of AMV.
Excellent job, and congrats on the win.
Thank you! It's nice to hear that you liked it, and I thought it was funny that you really did wait until all the "requirements" were fulfilled before watching it. I appreciate the feedback, thanks much!Full Metal Sempai wrote:edit:I wasn't really scared but the atmosphere you created was really fitting to a horror vid.It gave me the chills 1 or 2 times though. The live action stuff did the job concerning the freaky factor, the editing was really tight and the credits stole the performance.
5/5,excellent job
The org really needs more videos like this one,so innovative.Congratulations on your win.You surely deserved it!!
Thanks aes! See: my reply to Krat. We all missed youaesling wrote:This one of the Pro videos I really enjoyed, and I think it's some of your best work. It's creative and creates an excellent atmosphere.
Yeah, this was definitely something experimental. I played around with the audio especially. Thanks for watching!gameboy12615 wrote:My God...Is this a experiment??
a very special way in making amv,and the technique indeed great...
expect your next work with a better music...>_<
Thanks for the awesome feedback! I would hardly call this an "effects-heavy" video, the most I did with effects was to use some film grain and a black-and-white filter; I honestly don't think there's much more than that. Still, I get what you're saying and I'm glad you were still able to enjoy it somewhat. Thanks again!Rapture** wrote:Stuff.

what is this a horror vid or a dating serviceKristyrat wrote:Is she single?Kevmasterflashdeluxe wrote:It's his sisterRapture** wrote:P.S. : Who's the girl in the vid? o.O
'sky that was really well thought out and put together.
I didn't like the outer glow on the masking where you sister appears in front of the monitor, specifically the glow on her face... also could have used some movement there.
where the picture twirls away and shrinks, I also didn't really like although you did a good job blending the edges.
It wasn't scary at all but came as close to is as any amv I've seen has.
I think you needed some more 'film/static' effects from AE in there.
The feel of this reminds me of 'the ring' the original version that is.
over all though niiiiice 4/5 for not having me totally convinced and in need of slightly better effects, brilliant concept btw and a good change from 'normal' editing
new banzors in the making :p
