I think you will win the VCA for "Most Artistic" this year or you should win it.
I liked the song "Seizure of Power" more, but... "Whatever!" XD I am a fucking Manson fan :P
Best Artistic, that would be amusing. Thanks for the comments, though.
Was more in teh electronic mood when I wanted to make this XD
chambeyc wrote:Impressive, artistic, and surely must have taken a hell of a time!
That was cool 8-) !

The part starting at 1.57 with the white-haired young captain (can't remember his name) was too "extreme" to understand what was going on though :? ...
Awesome, thanks. Hitsugaya? Couldn't see anything? Cool Beans >_>
Kael_ wrote:Yeah excellent 8-)
But I've a small preference for you Naruto technique beat ^^

Good job Decoy! Image
Why thank you.
Geen probleem ;)

Anyway, this video made me watch the Kenshin Technique Beat (never had) and rewatch the Naruto Technique Beat and this is obviously the best one. I don't understand why everyone favors Kenshin, I found it to be pretty much like every other AMV but with excellent timing. Naruto was better but the honeycombing got very repetitive very fast. This video offers awesome graphical effects, excellent timing and a lot of variation (even the dots didn't annoy me). Fuck the naysayers, this is clearly the most professional looking AMV I've seen .... ever!
A year back when I made NTB I was just screwing around in AE, not knowing really what was going on. NTB was basically my AE test vid. So I got a song I loved at the time and made that to it. But yeah, it gets very repetitive very fast. I hope I at least tuned the repitiveness down in this one. KTB, man KTB was fun to edit. Fast song, fast editing, but that was kinda it's flaw. Soos vinnige seks, dis net nie genotvol nie. Dankie weereens vir die kommentaar.

I liked it, it's a great video, but there is really this time a huge overwhelming of effects, the dots killed most of the mood, because you done so many things in a so little space that it is incredibly hard to understand what's happening. And reading what you wrote (even the techniques names) is most of the time impossible the first/second time.

Indeed, the best parts are the slow one (instrumental) and the Ichigo/Byakuga. This video could have been much better if the effects you used could have been more "calm", in the first half of the video there are so many clips in the same seconds that is really hard to understand what's happening.

The video looks absolutely professional and this is what I search into videos! Thumbs up, without any doubt.
I liked it and you'll surely get an op from me! Good Work. :)
(Man we need the Edit button)

And I forgot, I didn't talk about Effort of course, this would be useless.
You worked on this video for more than half a year, only because of this you would deserve a medal, and most of all, the effort seems to explode out of those dots, so congrats. :)
About my criticism:
With lesser effects it would not have been your video, I can't imagine it different, but maybe some clearer way to show techniques would have done it great.
Thanks for the comments, Mike :D

The reason why most parts in the begining are less veiwable than others have a lot to do with the pacing of the song. Prime example, Hitsugaya: That part of the song is the most chaotic in the vid, hence it's the most busy, with a shitload of filters and layers, same with BvsI as the song progresses in that part it gets more intense and the footage gets more unstable/chaotic.

Glad ya liked it, man ;)
Infinity Squared wrote:Eh... just like NTB for me, BTB was in the "meh" category. That's not to say that I don't recognise the awesome editing prowess exhibited in this exposition of colour, sound and attitude, but to me in the end, it felt like an epic documentary except it was missing Sir Richard Attenborough's commentary and charisma.
Dude, if I could have his voice in my vid, it'd be legendary. Imagine him screaming

guy07 wrote:I'm not going to lie, i usually love ur stuff. And this is a great piece of work, great effects and graphics, loved in the intro and outro, but once it picked up ....is just didn't do it for me. And the song was pretty bad :/
Bad song? I'm afraid you're in the wrong thread, sir.
istiv wrote:THe video is technically awesome but artistically not so seducing. Anyway i think it has the level to be a really good Bleach opening or something like that.
Thanks for taking a look, Hito.

Bleach opening, that'd be pretty badass as an editor if that gets offered to me.

Yeah this is totally sexy. Your AE work continues to amaze me, and this one seemed to be a little less repetitive than NTB (could be attributed to your use of color perhaps? I'm not sure). Very, very cool :D

Just because there are other BTBs out there doesn't mean Decoy plagarized. I'm a fan of his works, and he has a very unique style. If making something that is the same as something already out makes you a plagerizer, well all of us are then.
