So I finally got around to watching this thing. Pretty slick, man, I enjoyed this almost as much as Why... Can't... I...? Was the text on the chalkboard in the footage, or did you add that yourself?

Anyway, I really liked this video. It's the of the kinds that I'd show to others to explain what AMVs could be. :)
^_^ Such a good album. Glad you enjoyed the video :) Hope others you show like it as well.

One day? O_o So you're keeping your reputation as fastest (non-WMM) editor on the .org?
I love playing with type in videos. It's something I think I will have a hard time getting away from for a while o_o

I just finished it.

Awesome work! To me, it kind of had a short film feel to it and I felt pretty engaged in the mood and story you were trying to tell through the subtle use of effects and pace of the scenes. After listening to Bayo's rant, this is definitely an example of the type of videos we need more of in the community.

o_o

You want to have secks TO this video? Like, having secks while it's playing in the background? Or have secks WITH this video?

Either one, I say
bahaha yes, if i had a choice, i'd have secks TO the video, thank you very much.
but in which case, if you can send the vhs copy hand delivered so i may start humping it, that'd be cool all the same
Send me a blank tape and a self-addressed stamped envelope, and you've got it :O

I liked the mood of the video, it's a very artfully done video, but there are a lot of things in it that bug me, like the end not tying in real well with the rest (but I already discussed that with you, so I see no reason to do it again) and the story of the video itself is hard to follow. It all kinda jumps around. (in time? Maybe that was the point?) If you hadn't told me the basic outline, I'd still be lost. I just don't understand where a lot of the stuff comes from. Like the baseball thing. Does that have some sort of significance? I dont get it. :(

However, that doesn't mean I don't like the video. I do, you know that, just thought you'd appreciate a response that's more than "ZOMG I LOEV VAHDEO".
I can certainly appreciate that some people who haven't seen the movie might find themselves a bit lost. I did try to make it an overall cohesive video, conveying the story apart from knowing the original story. Either way, I'm glad you gave it a chance and did still like it even a bit :)

er...

i mean..... yer a video :|

I was actually thinking the same, didn't the movie ended with any of all of those jumps she did? Cmon man, or it's her imagination or if you jump 15m I don't think you'll survive
Hehe, once you see the movie, you'll get it :P The title of the movie might help you understand.
chocomel wrote:Tottaly awesome, gave me a chilly feeling (in a good way) , and the text in the middle of the video was tottaly weird (never seen that before) but mixed awesome with the song and the video!

Yay love for the text :o Thanks pal

KholdStare88 wrote:Hm, the video is pretty good. When I first watched it I was so into it that when it ended, I thought that it had just start. Time kinda stood still for me, get it? Har har. Anyways I had a bit of trouble with the song at first, but it kinda grew on me. Doing something like this overnight is just simply amazing.

And uh, to people who haven't watched this movie yet, you're missing out...a lot. People compared it to Grave of the Fireflies, saying how two movies that were so unlike shared the same type of greatness.
Heh I certainly wouldn't compare the movie to Grave. Two extremely different films all together. I do agree it's one of the better anime films that I've seen, but that's still a pretty far comparison :P

But yeah, glad you liked the video ^o^
