I can't say I'm as enthousiastic as most of the people here, I think it's as most okay. My biggest gripe are two things, where both of them have to do with the source. First of all there's the mood, but this might be because I'm biased towards knowing that the movie Ghostbusters is mostly a comedy. It was all too grey for me and the color scheme of the source really took out the fun and the comedic element out of it: it all looked like action. With such a song I was expecting something more coroful.
Secondly, there's just too much motion in your video. Whereas The Spirits Within was mostly static, it seems like Advent Children went wild with dynamic cameras. The scenes you've used in your AMV were ALL dynamic, which first of all didn't fit the music most of the time and secondly loses most of the build-up. It does work nicely sometimes though, like in the news-scenes, and the first part is somewhat less dynamic, but the rest of the video has too much camera motion, whether it was required or not.
So all in all, for me it looked like you used the wrong source, how good the analogies with the song might be, but the effects were pretty nice. Also, the concept is pretty nice too!
The effects were pretty good integrated, I have no problems with that, except for the text that has the color code FF0000 clashes with the overal color of the Advent Children. But the tabloids and the news scenes looked pretty nice!
BTW. It is pretty rare to see somebody just do the editing part of the video for 160 hours... O.o So did you restarted the project a few times?
Was that the "thumbs down" from Wingdiings (or Webdings)?
