Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Ok Koop, I actually liked this precisely because it was different than the regular beat synched Sentimental videos.
Now you mentioned before you had made a bunch of these types of vide prior to this one, and if your memory serves I didn't personally like them too much. Now, I still like your Damaged Rei mix the best, but of your sentimental videos I'd say this is tops for me.
This is not to say there are not things i think are wrong.
1: Some of the scenes seemed way too much like filler.
2: the copping box part it was out of place had bad motion and was lame.
but at least it wasn't just people staring at shit again.

Now i wanna address the anti-"Inner circle"
The accusations are that people in the inner circle get more recognition than they perhaps deserve, and in any case way more than people that make similar videos.
Let's take this thread and it's rapid rise to 6 pages as a base.
If the inner circle operates in the manner some would have us believe, it would stand to reason that all people in the inner circle would get the same results from their video releases.
Now people in the inner circle have told me that I am a member of their elite club, so, if the inner circle are the ones responsible for popularity My video announcements should also receive 6+ pages of replies right?
I did a short survey of my video announcement with 6 pages as guide and a self defined group of the inner circle.
I added who most people think are the most popular in the inner circle, Koop/ Brad
And two people I know are part of the creation of the inner circle. Mitch Prodigi.
I subtracted people who are in my studio or who I am very good freinds with (that are not in the above group)
With these conditions of my survey here are the results.
I have had 17 different AMV announcements, one of witch announced 7 non related individual videos.
Out of these 17 only one has had 6 or more pages of replies. Most get an average of 2, which is from what I can tell fairly normal inner circle or not.
now I will list each announcement from earliest to latest and see if any of the inner circle posted in my threads) (Keep in mind that like what Brad said we usually respond to IMs IMs are something I don't tend to do.
1 No replies at all. (familiar?)
2 No inner circle members

9 3 IC members and the only thread to achieve more than 6 pages.

14 3 members (yet still nowhere near 6 pages)

Now am I saying that Koops popularity and us "inner circle" members have nothing to do with the videos popularity? No of course I'm not, (nor am I saying that I'm as popular as koop) But I have a feeling that the way we contribute to announcement page count is different than what most think.
As Brad mentioned, we are a group of people that know each other well.
so if i IM someone and go Check out my new video they likely will.
If the inner circle is the cause of the high ratings of jay's video, wouldn't all members have the same treatment? My case obviously shows not.
Here is my theory as to why. Koop makes very beautiful sentimental videos to very pretty music and anime. These style of videos tend to be extremely popular with a much larger group of people than what I make.
(and if anyone has ever seen anything I have made I doubt they would call the music nor the anime pretty)
In conclusion, It's not the inner circle conspiracy that makes something popular, it's the content of the video combined with knowing people that are able to stir up interest. Koop is not popular because he is a part of the "inner circle" he's popular because he makes good videos consistantly and those videos have content that appeal to large sections of the AMV viewing population. Saying that Knowing people that will come and comment on your video is BAD or DUMB or unfair by saying we, a group of friends, is a Clique or what ever, is really rather silly.
*edit this post made Jays thread go to Page 7 . I lol'd

According to this chart, the secret to success lies in the name:
As we can see, hoshi no lamenobody, was immediately eclipsed in the amount of replies just with a simple name change. So, just by following this simple, easy-to-do procedure, you too can reach 69 replies!
Note: Does not work for aussies.

Clearly.
I am probably going to change my name now to ZephyrKickAsStar. SCIENCE demands it be so. As you can see here, I have compiled all the data available to me (screenshots of the irc, 1235 hours of TF2, gay sex at Acen, and lots of FAJITS) and by the methods of said SCIENCE! I have arrived at this depiction of the existence of the so called "Inner Circle."
