Make a Wish {Kireblue} (2010 NYAF Drama Finalist)
I've seen quite a few AMVs with this song, but I felt that none of them managed to capture the meaning of the lyrics (especially the parts of the song with B.O.B). So when I saw Angel Beats, I felt that this was just the series to do the song justice. I first submitted this AMV to AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta) Expo, but at the time, only one of the blu-rays had been released in Japan. So I had to use lower quality footage to make up for what hadn't been released yet. I also sent a version of this AMV to NYAF (New York Anime Fest) that had a little more blu-ray footage, but like the AWA version, there was a lot of SD footage used. It did manage to make the finals in the AMV contest though.
The local version is 100% blu-ray footage scaled down to 480P, and there is also a indirect link available for a 720P version. Also, this AMV went through a bunch of betas, and I owe a very special thanks to Code, Taite, and Midnight. This was the first time that I ever had another editor beta test my AMV, and they all gave awesome ideas during the times that I was stuck. I really appreciate it. I really like how this turned out, and I hope everyone enjoys it

Wait......are you saying that it was shown 4 times during AWA? I only requested that it be shown onceBasharOfTheAges wrote:Actually really dug this at AWA... even after seeing it for the 4th time.
Oh and thanks. I'm glad that you liked it.
Thanks I was a little surprised that you commented on the lip sync though. I actually though that the lip sync was pretty on point. But after re-watching it, I noticed a few areas where I could have done a little more.schen wrote:I like it ^^

They used it to test stuff out Thursday night, showed it early morning on Friday, showed it when you requested it, and I thought possibly someone else requested it or something on Sunday.kireblue wrote:Wait......are you saying that it was shown 4 times during AWA? Love this song :3 and was hoping some amv would make justice to it.
Well, it is my fav till now with it (specially the B.O.B. part); though I feel like Hayley's part could be done with a little more emotion (plus, the 'shooting stars' part, there are a lot of clips on Angel beats which could lyric sync to it, and I was hoping for a little moar lyric-match... XD).
Also, some parts could be a bit faster.
But I enjoy it :3 good job

I was like "Yeah! Airplanes! Let's watch this!"
Thumbs up for song choice
Thumbs down for not choosing Airplanes Pt2
It was nice to see how you edited it, but I think that Angel Beats just wasn't the right anime choice here.
The parts where the girl with the guitar is singing to the lyrics just didn't fit the emotions of the song. Those scenes were more Rock-like and it was weird to match them with Hayley.
The rest of the video was nice but for me you didn't capture the songs emotions.
Try to use a little zoom here and there!
3.5/5

Well I really liked that!
Just some parts where I felt the pacing was a little slow and a few places where I felt the scene selection could be a different but it wasn't anything major that took away the overall feel the video gave off.
Anyway really enjoyed it, Angel Beats =
