Firing the (Bass) Cannon
Video: Firing the (Bass) Cannon (YouTube)
Category: Action
Anime: Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone
Song: Existence VIP
Artist: Excision & Downlink
Creator: Feetme
This here is my first AMV! I've worked on it off and on for the last year and a half, and finally decided to finish it. Minimal video effects; no added audio other than the music track. Just dubstep and a gun.
Let me know what you think!

Love this idea XD!. Very nice first amv! I enjoyed it, lipsync was very nice, internal sync was generally very good too thought you could have played around when harsh fast stuff entered in song with that angel thingy, and maybe few other places. But other than that I'm really impressed

Thanks for watching it! The whole "harsh fast stuff" you mentioned is something I really struggled with, as I was pulling clips from only about a 45-minute section of the film (anything after sunset) and had to be thrifty with what scenes I chose. I swear I used almost every single shot of the angel available... Because of this, I had to extend some of the clips by reversing/speeding up/slowing down -- such as what I'll call the "spiral" clip around 1:25 -- to make them last longer, yet making the edits inconspicuous so the video still looked natural. I'm sure as I get better I'll find more effective ways to achieve this.M'o'l wrote:Love this idea XD!. Very nice first amv! Thanks for the advice!

Yeah i imagine it's not an easy thing when you just started . Take it easy. What i had in head simple thing would be simple reverse-play forward clips of evolution of this angel would probably do O:. Repeating stuff isn't bad thing as long as it's part of the plan or helps you in realizing it

Re: Firing the (Bass) Cannon
That's a cool way to start out, I liked the source choices and this was a nice "level 1" version of what this could be. While watching I could totally see this being at a level 9000 super intense AMV with 256,789 cuts but it's interesting to see you chose to keep it minimal.

Neat idea. Just very lazy editing. Didn't look like you even tried. I assume 2 hours of work tops.

You known each has different sense of "tiresome". Back in the day a week seemed like forever Also hard time "feeling" program and music while it's actually on timeline can add on hours of just nothing .. well for me it was like that at least xD.Cenit wrote:Neat idea.
