Some parts feel a bit unsynced because of how much your song is out pacing your scenes, but I know that you didn't actually have much Genos footage to work with. And So, I think that the video could have been stronger if it had revolved around numerous heroes and did more in terms editing. I really like your song choice, and so I think that it would have been fun to see you keep up with the pace a bit more.

Is the consensus that every beat needs to be touched with a movement or scene cut? I did keep a high pace of internal movements for the high energy parts of the song like the choruses and the middle verse. I slowed down for the meteor stuff because the whole idea was to build to that attempt to destroy it with his core and all. I was visually trying to tell that story. Are things like this universally frowned upon?kireblue wrote:Some parts feel a bit unsynced because of how much your song is out pacing your scenes, but I know that you didn't actually have much Genos footage to work with. Re: Lone Digger X Lone Cyborg
After rewatching your vid a 2nd time, I'll take back a little bit of what I said. The fist time I watched it, I was really getting into the song and got a little disappointed that you didn't have as much internal and movement sync as I was expecting. The 2nd time, I watched it, I went in knowing that your video was gonna be slower paced, and so I think that I was able to notice more of your sync. But personally, I still feel that you were always 2 steps behind the natural pace of the song, and that you didn't take full advantage of all the song had to offer. Its ironic though because I kinda remember getting the same from people 2 years ago, and I kinda didn't agree with them at all. But now I kinda think that they were right and here I am giving the same advice to you . And so to directly answer your question, No. Your style of editing isn't "frowned upon". And I personally love concept and story in videos a lot more than sync. I just think that in the case of this video, you could still have kept your story, and still took the editing 1 or 2 steps further. But if you disagree, its cool. Everyone has different stylesLingchi wrote:Is the consensus that every beat needs to be touched with a movement or scene cut? I don't disagree at all actually. There were a couple parts that I couldn't get right because of the footage itself. Him jumping away from mosquito girl never felt right, but cuts to it made the jump jarring in a way I wasn't comfortable with. And the scene with deep sea king tearing his arm off was super light on sync. Him standing up at that high note at the end felt really good and made me think it could carry the scene, but it still kind bothers me. Were there any other specific scenes that stuck out to you?

Besides from the Daisuki logo that you probably forgot to zoom in/ crop off at 3:06, I think that everything else was pretty solid. And like I said before, I loved your taste in musicLingchi wrote:I don't disagree at all actually. There were a couple parts that I couldn't get right because of the footage itself.
