Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Re: That Day - Akross 2017
I'd like to offer you the same advice you offered me. It applies so very well to your own work.
Good luck with the contest, I'm sure the judges will share your values. I'm new to editing, and you are new to contests....it lines up perfectly. I'll give a shoutout to the judges on your behalf.
"just one thing to say....this is not enough for a good work, not even close, not only cause you need more to really edit, but cause you need time to leave it for some time, think about something else and come back after some days and watch it again. It's the only way to notice by yourself the most common mistakes we all did when we started. Ofc it's not a rule, and you don't need it to follow it, but this helped me a lot and I really think it will help you too. About the videos there are few things to say, those are your first works so they are full of mistakes like all the first works, so my only suggestion is: watch a lot of good works and learn from them as much as you can "
"lol, are you serious? don't come to a forum if you don't want to have a review, you came here to announce your vid? well, you did it to other editors who are suppose to say what they think. Do you think that 4h are enough to make a vid? that making 36 amvs every week makes you an editor? go on on your way, this will be my last comment since: "

I am not here asking for a critique. This is amv announcements. I announce. You had nothing good to say, so why say anything? I will not be a punching bag for your personal failures.
. You're here to spam your vid? well at least try to be polite with those who still believe there are places where we can help each other. You said that time spent doesn't matter? it might be true, but 4h is not even the time for a good scene selection, but that's not the point, the point is that since you are new to editing it's more than normal to do mistakes, most of them because you didn't take your time and wanted to edit 2 amvs in 8h. Why did you said the time spent if you don't think that time is important? for tell us you spent 8h in a row editing? Do we have to clap you then? Do you want to know why I didn't review the vid sec by sec? because there are too many problems and really the best thing to do is study from other vids, but hey, I'm just an asshole who love to insult 12 years old guys bacause I've nothing in my life right? so here's a review for Boar, the other one sorry but there is really nothing to say:
General consideration: too long, time should be around 2.30-3.00 for that kind of vid, I'm not going to be more specific on why since you probably don't care. Song is more than overused, that's not a problem, but if you use an overused song people will compare it with other better works, but most of all they will not see it because they got tired about it. You started with a picture without music, and then you fade it off....why? there was no need to put it there.
Vid analysis: from 0.00 to 0.16 there's too black between clips and you need to put some fade to smooth not just cut the clip and wait for the nwxt beat. 0.16-0.37 probably best part of the vid, seems that there will be a sense, cuts are pretty on time.0.37-0.43.......6 SECONDS OF BLACK?????? music is growing, it's an important point of the song and you leave it black? Then you came back with an action scene, after that a calm scene, then a kick in the face ecc ecc. from 0.43 to 1.24 everything is confused, there is no sync, scenes are too long, too random, too different in colors and feelings, lip flaps everywhere. On 1.24 there is a scene that can be interesting but it's probably unwanted. Until 1.45 you should let the atmosphere grow step by step until the drop of the song....you didn't. And now finally the drop: no synch, scene too long, cuts without a logic, neither a timing ofc, again different scenes one after the other, lip flap. When the music slow down things seems to go better, but it's an illusion since we have 1 min of black!!!!!!!!!!
Conclusion: 1.5/5 because I'm kind (really) .Don't do a vid in 4h, with only one episode because scene selection is the most important thing in an amv. More episodes= more clips, more possibilities to create. Now I'm done, learn respect, and don't ever go personal with someone you don't know, specially on the internet. Grow up kid and good luck"
