Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Glory

Post by Metro » Tue Apr 15, 2003 10:05 pm

The glory is not in the outcome, but in the struggle
Title: Glory
Song: Apollo 13 OST
Anime: Princess 9

This video is hard for me to describe probably due to the fact it took me a very long time to nail down the concept(s). Glory, teamwork, falling down, getting back up, and the innate joy of tossing a ball around are just some of the themes I tried to capture. I don't know if it worked, but I’m generally pleased with how it turned out.

*shrugs* I like the ending

You seem to regularly forget to include the link when you do new videos

Anyways, I look forward to this one, as I have all your others (I really enjoyed "A Bebop X-Mas")

Thx. Although I was pleased with the video I wasn't sure how others would like it

I'm glad you liked my previous work. A Bebop XMas was a very fun video to make and is definitely one of my favorites. Its original yet slightly whacked.

Really nice video. It delivers the emotion of the anime and the characters, and without spoiling the anime itself. :) I look forward to future videos. Huzzah.

Also, James Horner is badass.

Yeah I wanted to limit the use of spoilers (No spoilers in a Drama video!) and leave the ending a little ambigiuos. Although I do have to admit if you look carefully you might some spoilers

Although I'm becoming a big fan of Yoko Kanno, James Horner is still my favorite composer. The soundtrack to The Last of the Mohicans is simply amazing.
