Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

ummm actually, the qualtiy wasnt very good.

if you think that thatis good quality, then you need to see of Zarxarx's Music Videos.

Also, the use of fansubs wasnt very cool, expecially when you saw subtitles every other scene..

The scenes didnt always match up,

but it was a good idea, if this is one of your first videos, then dont worry about it... read over the guides, and learn to do things a little bit better.

maybe you dont get it...

im not impressed with yor 4.7mb file size...and for the record, i have seen better.

I wouldnt mind downloading a 40.7mb video if the quality was proportinally better.

Also, fansubs ruin the video, if there is something to be said, then let your video tell it with your editing.

i had to make it this small. i'm 56k. I'd rather not spend the same time uploading it as it took to make it.

well your pretty much wasting your time uploading 4.7 megs of crap, better to go the extra length uploading 40.7 megs of quality instead, so its not a waste ;p You only have to upload once. leave it overnight or something. or go over a friends house that has broadband. There are ways around the 56k barrier.

If I was on 56k, I'd die. Ok, No seriously, I'd even willing to wait days to upload a 40 meg file for better quality over 4.7 megs. In fact, I'd sooner quit editing videos than upload crappy quality versions to the org, but thats my opinion.

I don't know if this is possible for you since I do not know if you have a CD burner. For some people they burn their AMVs to a CD RW then take it their local public or university library then upload it to the AMV organization. Internet connections at most local libraries are pretty fast. It's just a thought for the serious AMV creator who is limited by their 56k connection.
Anime, it's not just a hobby, it's a lifestyle.

But even still I think that you get get by with a 15 to 20 meg file. I do it from time to time to save bandwith on my website server.
When ever in doubt about getting a bad review remember these words; Shut up and make it better.
