- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

Haibane Renmei/ Voltaire AMV
A few days ago I entered a new AMV, Haibane Renmei to "Feathery Wings" by Voltaire. If you're a fan of either (or better yet, both) and have some time to kill, perhaps check it out? Opinions would be greatly appreciated (as would Ops for Digital Apathy, my Lain/ Stabbing Westward/ "Television" vid x.x) as any opinions are better than none. hope i don't sound like a total comment wh0re here. ^^; do as you will, just making an announcement. =^^= *scuttles off*
And you will shed tears of scarlet.

The name of "Voltaire" caught my attention on that video and I was nicely surprised.
Sweet video, with a good rhythm, a good choice of sequences, good parts of synchro. Few bad points, the video quality which is not really good and the lenght of the song make the end of the video a little bit boring. Otherwise, nice job

i agree, the song was very long...one of those where you zone out after a while then wake up thinking 'oh, its still playing!'
it was a good video tho! i love the look of that anime, never seen it before so i'm slightly confused by it. nothing a little quest of investigation wouldent cure! lol!

Realy Good video. The song kinda eh for me, but it does fit the mood and theme of the anime well. good editing aswell.
Couple of things though, that I suggest fixing and requesting a deletion to reupload. First is the aspect ratio, the DVDs are made for 16x9 and you encoded it at 4:3, so it looks weird unless you correct the aspect ratio in the player. Second is the quality is kinda low for the length of the video, Did you use the new Xvid 1.0? I suggest using the Xvid that comes with the new AMVapp with the settings in the new guides, with a resolution of 512X288. I think that should come out descent, assuming your Huffy is clean.
Anyway as I sad, asside from the minor technical defects, good video you got here.
