Berserk video

Post by smalarz » Sat Oct 16, 2004 11:28 am

This is my fourth video and first one using footage other then DBZ. I tried to do something different and make something serious instead of just action.

Looks like you're still semi-new to editing. It wasn't bad for an early work, and you've definately got potential. I liked you scene selection, it complimented the song well. Here's some stuff you could improve upon:

1. You ended a lot of clips late, showing a frame or two from the next scene. In general, when editing with Berserk, it's a good idea to cut right before the whiteness appears at the bottom.

2. Some clips felt a little too long, and some elements in the song could've benefitted from the use of cross fades instead of simple straight cuts.

3. Give AD and Ermacs guide a read and try to switch to DVD footage with higher quality, that looked either downloaded or just really shotily compressed.

Keep improving!
