Shanty Films 1st AMV production

Post by miracleboy » Fri Nov 19, 2004 10:24 am

I have been rather busy with other things. I posted this a few days back. 14 November 2004 to be exact. It is the 19th now and 78 hits thus far.
I am astounded at the response and the amount of people looking at this.
I am a cross-over from real life film and other projects. So this is a raw finished first attempt and also it is in .wmv format so some of the quality was lost compared to the full MPEG-2 quality I did it in.

Anyways... link info is here:

Summary :
I used a Kill Bill Vol 1 Sequence from the anime of Birth of O-ren. Music is to VNV Nation's Legion(Janus) from the album Burning Empires.
It just seemd to fit. I didn't use a lot of sound keys, just simple hard edits a few effects and some velocity plays. Overall it took me about 1 hour total and that includes the 15 min's to rip the portion from DVD.
It's enjoyable and I think simple and minimal. This is my first AMV ever.

Any and all comments will be respected and accepted. So let me have it. "Free advice is what it is worth. Take what you need and throw away the rest." ~!my grandpa told me that....lol

I am mad digging this genre and it allows me to have a fun outlet and reminds me why I love film and editing so much.

anyways...
cheers
