Well, I'll bite if no one else will. (Actually, I didn't even notice your video at first, because I've been away from my computer more than usual lately. So, it was down the list a bit before I realized it.) Well, the simplest explanation is with a breakdown, so here it is!

Stuff I Liked
- your talent. For only a second video, you're doing pretty good. You're a heck of a lot better than I was at that point.
- the scenes. Most people who do a Kyou video (or a romance video with him) root through the first and last few episodes and squeeze them for all they're worth scenewise. That bugs the crap out of me. I liked how you picked and chose moments throughout the entire series. I actually got to see sequences that I hadn't already seen a hundred times before.

Stuff I Was Iffy About
- timing. Just talking about the beats of the song, I think you timed it beautifully. You nailed all the important breaks in the piece and kept pace throughout with the lesser beats. However, there were times when I felt like you cut just for the sake of keeping the video moving. Remember, there's no shame in having a few longer scenes in a video. They will offset the faster editing and make it seem that much better.
- video quality. It wasn't bad, really, but it could have stood some clean up. The most annoying thing was the line going through the middle. It was faint and usually only showed at a scene change, but it was obnoxious. Seeing an obvious flaw in the image draws me away from the enjoyment of the video and makes me start looking for other weird flaws. Still, once I realized that the line was going to appear constantly, I stopped looking for it and moved on to enjoying your video.

Stuff I Didn't Like
- the concept. Don't get me wrong. You portrayed a Kyou/Tohru love story very well, but there were some major bothers involved in that. 1. The song is very overused. Just super searching it brings up 54 results. 2. Kyou/Tohru is also very overdone. It gets old, and believe me, after all of the Fruits Basket videos I've seen, I am so getting sick of seeing scenes from those last two episodes. 3. The song doesn't make sense to them. Even if you are approaching it from a romance perspective, several lines in the verses don't work, and the final chorus means absolutely nothing. In order for this song to work as best as it could, I would have suggested a competitive Yuki/Tohru/Kyou, where Tohru-chan is in love with Kyou, but Yuki has feelings for her - going unnoticed. Using him as a centerpoint in the final chorus would have given that meaning. 4. My final complaint on the concept is a personal issue, and not particularly something I'm upset with you for, so don't think too much of it. That being the case, here's my rant: Kyou and Tohru are not in love. Yuki and Tohru are not in love. Shigure and Ayame are not in love. Hatsuharu and Yuki are not in love. Akito and Tohru are definitely not in love. The only people who are in love are Hatori and Kana, and Kagura - with Kyou, but it's one-sided. That's it. Therefore, it irritates me to see most of the Fruits Basket videos on this site centering around romance. Can't we just have a friendship video? Or, for that matter, character profiles? What's the last Momiji video you've seen? Hiro video? Ritsu? Okay, I think that's all I have for ranting. It wasn't really directed at you. It just generally bothers me.
- filesize. It's huge. I can't help you on troubleshooting that one, but you might want to consult the guides for a direction on how to solve this. Ideally, you should shoot for about 10MB/minute.

A side note, which has nothing to do with the video itself, would be a suggestion to put a bumper (AKA: a few seconds of black space, or a few seconds of a title detailing the song, anime, and your name, perhaps with a little bit of music) at the beginning of the video. It gives your viewer just a little bit of prep time to do things like adjust the size of the video, change the volume, and just generally get themselves ready to watch your video. Also, many creators consider this to be more "professional." You can also put one at the end, but most people won't care either way as long as you have one at the beginning.

Overall, I enjoyed this video. This isn't exactly spectacular concept-wise, but the editing was solid and you kept me interested from beginning to end. Well done!

Well, I think that's all. I feel like I'm forgetting to say something, but I sure hope not. I hope that this was somewhat helpful to you. ^_^

As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

Thanks for your very extensive critique and suggestions. Now this is stuff dreams are made of. ^_^ I'll see to it that this won't go unnoticed. After all, newbies be newbies. It's going to be a long way. :D

Again, thank you for your op.

I just wanted to comment on what you said. I watched the vid many, many times, but have never seen the anime. Does it really matter if the love story, or any story created in any AMV, really exists in the anime. Can't the music and the anime's images be used as a pallet to create the artists own story?
I'm not flaming here, I just wonder what the overall take is on it, since it has been brought up here.

BTW I loved the vid. Great job! :D :D :D

No, the story shouldn't have to exist in the anime. I agree with that. However, that wasn't the point I was making originally. What I meant by my comment is that any video with Kyou, Yuki, and Tohru in it always seems to be a romance video. In the anime, the three of them are just good friends, but nobody ever makes videos about that. Okay, so not "nobody," but it's pretty rare. So, as I hope you can see now, my original comment was supposed to convey the fact that people don't usually make videos about the Fruits Basket's story, but instead try to force romance concepts into everything.

Long story short, I don't mind the idea of Kyou/Tohru videos. I'm just getting really sick of them. I'd like to see something more canon.

Hope that explains it.
