The anti-Metallica, Metallica song

Post by Daajester » Mon Jan 23, 2006 1:56 am

Ok so its not really "anti" metallica but now that I have your attention it is a new twist on an old Metallica song, Nothing Else Matters. What really made me want to use this song is the fact that its sung by a female....and to be quite honest its just as good if not better than the original...it came across as an incredibly sad song the way she sings it. Now enough about the song the anime used is Elfen Lied...it has some semi/spoiler type stuff in the vid so if you havent watched the show you may not wish to watch this video...however you dont have to watch the show to understand the story of the video. I tried to go for a very clean and simple video to tell a bit of a story so hopefully you enjoy..its been like several months since my last upload check it out ^^

I don't see many creators from Indy so i took a look.

Captured that sad melancholic feel of Elfen Lied very well. And you are right, that is a great cover of Nothing Else Matters, i like it better than the Metallica version myself.

Good vid, i enjoyed it. One of my new favs i have seen of Elfen lied.

I liked it. The song actually has a country sort of sound to it, surprisingly it works. The video itself also has the appropriatly melodramatic feel to it given the show and interpretation of the lyrics.

^^ woohoo I made something that doesnt suck . Country you say?? I dunno I guess it sorta has a country-esque feel but more of a tori-amos type feel I thought. At any rate glad to hear you guys are enjoying my video..if you havent checked it out and your in the mood for a dramatic video of a show that doesnt get as much amv time as say... oh I dunno something like Naruto ^^ you should check it out :D

Well, you make pretty decent AMVs, and I like Elfen Lied, so I checked this one out. I have to say, this was a nice piece. The depressing mood really showed through, and the timing was good (although, with a song like this, timing can be tough). It was just a solid video, overall. Not really one of my favorites, but it definitely is one of the better EL videos I've seen. Oh, and I do like that song quite a bit - both the original, and now, especially, this version.

So, great job, Daajester! You just keep getting better and better.
