Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Alright so like the title says this is pretty much my first anime music video ever... I used windows movie maker and divx to create my masterpiece [lol].

Anyway if you watch it I worked pretty hard on the timing of certain events... I know that it could be better and the storyline could be a little bit more solid but I figure i'll get some comments before I start editing it again.

Basically if you watch this video you'll notice that they take the whole "life flashing before my eyes" to a whole new extreme. Its a sad video and it helps if you pretty much disreguard the intire storyline in the final fantasy 8 game lol.

Other than that im not sure what to write and I hope that everyone enjoys my video. Thanx!!!

Bad quality as I figured, next to no editing....and of course the DivX watermark....

I would say try using better footage and trying a bit harder.

Oh gosh that is bad, I am not usually a very harsh reviewer but okay I know youtube can hurt quality a bit but not that bad.
For the editing, there are not many scenes to begin with, and the divx symbol showing through the video is annoying and also says that you just put some divx clips together, because if you save as divx it only shows at the start.
I am not a real big fan of alot of special effects they can be over done, but I agree I do not think much editing went into this, but then you apparently did not have many clips to work with.
When you did try to use special effects, like the water color effect with the repeated scene, it did not look good and did not transition well either, there is no connection between the video and the music, actually there is just no emmotion feel or story at all.
Anytime I see a movie like this I have to ask the question, do you watch other movies, do you read advice or tutorials, because I see this alot with new starts, and I also see you have this as a contest entry, I really think you could do some research and do alot better, practise makes perfect, and watch other movies.
