- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I think you need to hear the words "DVD Quality Footage". Not to rag on you or anything, but the quality of those videos was not very good.
Here's my critique on your first vid.
No. 1: Bad Video Quality (Minus one Point)
No. 2: Anime + Random Music (Minus one Point)
No. 3: Sync Wasn't Very Good (Minus one Point)
No. 4: Unoriginal (I don't mean that YOU are unoriginal, I just mean that this AMV has been done before) (Minus One Point)
No. 5: Buggy Editing (Minus One Point)
If it's any help, read Phades guide in the "guides section" of the main page. It would help you out a lot.

All of these videos look extremely familiar, are you using other AMVs instead of editing your own?

i found a site with about 90 short little clips, saved some of them, and thought of making my own after seeing all the cool amvs on freevideoblog.com
i fooled around with the media maker, posted them, and someone started commenting me and stuff, then i aksed where i could find more, and she said to download some videos here.

Well... go ahead and use them for practice, but it's generally not a good idea to broadcast videos made using other people's videos, even if you didn't take much of their editing.
Save up money, buy the DVDs, and make videos the long, hard, grueling, anti-hobby mentality way.
granted, some people like spending lots of money on their hobbies, but meh

lol I could point out a tone in the top ten percent that uses downloaded footage.. I should just point them out to the mods.. and then I think they'll remove them..Prodigi wrote:minalei wrote:i found a site with about 90 short little clips, saved some of them, and thought of making my owna-m-v.org rules wrote:2.
