If they've shown enough already to get something good out of it, why not?Esrhan wrote:This goes completely off-topic, but I've been wondering why people decide to make AMVs on series that aren't even halfway released? What's the point when you only have a few episodes to work with and a lot more is still being made? Such impatience if you ask me.

I'll admit, this video was fun to watch, but I really can't give it any credit, seeing as not only were the edits practically identical to Ileia's (both audio and visual o.O) but you had to go and throw on a shake zoom to the majority of the cuts. There's a reason Nostromo is good at using those kinds of effects, and it's primarily due to his proper judgement in placing them, rather than simply throwing it onto every single cut. It's maybe appealing for the first ten to twenty seconds, but then it just gets tiresome. I'd compliment you on the song choice and editing as well, but clearly you didn't edit this track yourself. One final thing though, I assume you filtered the Hellsing footage, maybe you should run a few tests next time to make sure you aren't overfiltering. Because there were some scenes that looked deened to all holy hell, which is a real shame because the art in this particular OVA is spectacular.
As for the whole, using an incomplete series, I have to side with those saying 'if it's good looking, why not?' if only because I'm really damn impatient as well, and I know the next volumes are not going to be released for a very long time.

I agree with you on the audio because I had no where else to get the song and I really thought that was the song un-edited, so I didn't see any reason not to use. As for the Nostromo editing, I don't even know or seen any of his/her amv's, afterall im new to this site. Anyway, since you said it was fun to watch ill take your comment as a positive one and thanks for taking the time to write one.I'll admit, this video was fun to watch, but I really can't give it any credit, seeing as not only were the edits practically identical to Ileia's (both audio and visual o.O) but you had to go and throw on a shake zoom to the majority of the cuts.
