Mr. Brightside
Hey all,
This is just a fun/sweet Ouran vid that I did more for kicks than anything. Mainly because I love the song and have wanted to do a vid to it for a long time. It's not terribly original (a Haruhi / Tamaki-themed video?! What?!!) and it's pretty basic on the editing, but hey, it was fun. Plus, for my next vid I plan on going insane and doing all star wipe transitions to the beat. No, I'm serious. Really.
On a serious note, I'm still learning technical things so this is my first attempt at some filtering. I think it turned out moderately neato, so I'd recommend grabbing the indirect MP4 file rather than the AVI local (which is kinda bleh from crunching it down).
That being said, please enjoy the most un-creatively titled video ever.

Wow, okay, this video really makes me smile. I've been waiting for a really good video that plays up to Tamaki's jealously issues, and I'm glad you picked such an upbeat song for the job. Something serious would have been decidedly... un-Ouran-like. (Actually, I hate this band, and I was noncommittal to this song, but damn it, now your video is going to make me like it! XD )
Anywho, besides some video quality issues (which are relatively unimportant to me, because this was certainly watchable), I absolutely loved your scene selection. I especially got a laugh out of the irony of the scene at 2:54 matched with the lyrics. Your beat sync was really good, but I felt like you were stronger with it during the instrumental sections than the verses/choruses. I was surprised to note that the repeated scenes didn't bother me at all, but I think it was because you altered them when they reappeared. Also, nice attention to detail by flipping around the scenes in the "storm" part at 3:00. It's little stuff like that that I love to see in videos, because it shows that you're really thinking about what you're doing with the parts.
Overall, this is really enjoyable, and it's probably taking up residence in my permanent collection.
