- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

denying//CHANGE (AWA 2007 Masters entry)
It took a long time and a lot of nagging from Cracky, but here it finally is. I actually wasn't thinking of the VCA, so now I'm somewhat forced to announce it (don't know if it matters though).
There's not much to tell about this video, except that it's somewhat on the same level (can't put my finger on where, but maybe it's in the effects departement and they're all experimental) as Otohiko's She Was and CrackTheSky's d!gital me. As far as I know, we did not see each other videos until later on.
Following Cracky's advice, I'm gonna say that it's best to watch it with headphones in dark just before you sleep to get the best effect out of it.
And as most of the time, I have a page ready explaining the themes and the process of making the AMV, for the few people who are interested. This time it is formatted!
So you hated it? You want your typical emo/drama 5cm vid? Well you're in luck! Click on the poster below!
Yeah, it's just a video I made within a few hours (still too much) to be the first with a 5cm vid (and there's a reason why I haven't announced it yet).
I wanted to announce another video, but that one isn't done until this weekend. Also, I have a brand new journal though (one post per day) about all kinds of stuff, so if you're interested, take visit, read some stuff and write some comments on the posts if you feel like it! (yeah, I'm taking the advantage to plug all kinds of stuff here)

FINALLY. I AM HAPPY.
The Masters video is just purely awesome. I was so bored by the other Masters videos at AWA, and they didn't play yours until the very end, and I wasn't even paying attention to it when it started, but the end of the video made me look at the screen because I thought they were having technical difficulties By the way, did you know that you almost won with this video? The guy who judged the Masters videos said it was between this video, VicBond007's Accidentally In Love, and Ileia's Don't Break.
This is probably the darkest video I've ever seen to these animes. I LOVE the concept, I love the editing, I love pretty much everything about this video. The progression is brilliant, and the integration of simple static effects near the end really gives this video a creepy, otherwordly feel to it.
It was definitely worth the wait. I'm so glad you finally uploaded it, and this is probably my favorite video of yours. Very, very good work, keep making unique stuff like this

*meh gets the goodness*
Edit:
I'm commenting on the video with the red banner.
Video Quality was really good, as good as can be bexpected from 5 CM. The Sound Quality was equally good, and synced pretty well with the overall video itself. The soft and melodious aspect of the video works well as stress relief, let me tell you that from expierence. ^_^ The concept is top nothc, and I felt that the video itself is really good, and works to stem a good road for future 5 CM videos to go down.
4.50/5.00

I thought it could've done without the long buildup. Why?
Because it went like this for me:
-downloaded
-watched first 30 seconds
-closed the video
-read crack's post
-re-downloaded
-liked it
I see how there's supposed to be a kind of small story going on with the very last scene and stuff and how all of the color schemes and stuff might be interesting from the first minute but I still say that you could've cut it even shorter.
Also the video doesn't have the kind of dark impact on me it's probably supposed to, especially the last scene. Maybe I just can't take this movie serious anymore or something...I however liked your concept in overall and what you did with the source. Just...I don't know...enough with the fake technical difficulties stuff already :p
(and I don't mean just those other two videos you listed, I'm talking grain, screenlines and clouds and stuff alltogether)

Hey douggie, I watched denying//CHANGE (wasn't really drawn to the second). Though my first thoughts were: "well this editing is bland", the second part of the video really got my attention, loved the conceptual stuff. This may have been the last good video I've seen since ... well your last one
I did think the ending scene wasn't right though, it was way WAY to bright, it should have continued the darkness of the previous scenes in my opinion, but that's just me...
