Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Spriggan TLR

I originally wasn't going to release this, let alone announce it. One of my hobbies as a past time, is to edit actual trailers for anime that already have poorly made trailers done by professionals in the industry. I'm sure a lot of you can agree when I say that a lot of anime trailers in the industry suck golf balls through garden hoses.

This vid in particular I ended up both liking in the end, and re-watching again. Where as most of my videos I usually pass by and leave on my HD to gather virtual dust. Hell, even the ones I do upload, I end up not watching for quite a while.
I was very happy to how the audio mixing came out, and found out that it was more fun to mix rather than synchronize to just a single song. I sure hope some of you have sub-woofers, because I took strong advantage of the bass on this one.

Just as a little note: I am not a fan of parody trailers. I often find most of them overdone and flat out uncreative. This vid is suppose to advertise the actual movie of Spriggan itself.
If you haven't seen the movie Spriggan, then do so, it's pretty kick ass.

oh, and

/gets

EDIT: I don't get it. What do dancing frogs have to do with this movie? Why are dancing frogs so awesome? Please can I have more dancing frogs? If not, would you be prepared to teach me your dancing-frog-editing-voodoo secrets? How would you reccommend I integrate dancing frogs into my future projects? May I ask from whence did you acquire your dancing frog source material? Do you draw it yourself? Was that live footage of dancing frogs that you used? Did you shoot your live dancing frog footage yourself?

Enquiring minds need to know.

This vid in particular I ended up screwing in the end, and re-screwing again. Where as most of my videos I usually hit it and quit it to gather virtual dust. Hell, even the ones I do keep, I end up getting tired of humpin.
I was very happy to how the audio mixing came out, and found out that it was more fun to screw rather than hump to just a single song. I sure hope some of you are horney, because I took strong advantage of the sex on this one.

If you haven't humped the Spriggan, then do so, it's pretty kick ass.
New Servo video!

Great base. 4.25/5

You could have placed more custom sound effects into it and some fine tunning at the typopraghy and the effects would be nice. However this would be a cool official trailer for the show. Good job.

blabbler's question 1 wrote:What do dancing frogs have to do with this movie?
Oh they have everything to do with this movie.
blabbler's question 2 wrote:Why are dancing frogs so awesome?
Because I said so.
blabbler's question 3 wrote:Please can I have more dancing frogs?
$_$
blabbler's question 4 wrote:If not, would you be prepared to teach me your dancing-frog-editing-voodoo secrets?
There can only be one Big Boss.
blabbler's question 5 wrote:How would you reccommend I integrate dancing frogs into my future projects?
Everything we learn, we learn by doing.
blabbler's question 6 wrote:May I ask from whence did you acquire your dancing frog source material?
I drew it all.

blabbler's other questions wrote:Do you draw it yourself? Was that live footage of dancing frogs that you used? Did you shoot your live dancing frog footage yourself?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Minion wrote:mostly good, but way too inconsistent with the typography.
At first I went with the style the movie had for titles, but then found out it was too boring. And then I started experimenting, and failed to stick with a definite style. I guess it's one of those things I need to think about more often.
Megamom wrote: EDIT:It is the best Trailer I never see,
Thanks for the awesome score. But this definitely isn't the best Trailer, there are far more better ones. Take this for example.

I do admit, you can never get enough of sound. But I also have to say that I didn't want to overdo the sound mixing either. Otherwise it would've just yelled "HEAR ME! I'M OUTPUTTING SOUND FX."
