1 Year of Editing / Acen Entry :O
So, for all the people that wonder what I might have done the past year...
I proudly present you the Remains of Oblivion: Intraday Derelction. It was a shitload of work as you might assume, since I edited on almost more than a year to release this piece. So I'd be very thankful for opinions and constructive feedback. But first have fun watching.
/me gets back to write WoF Material.

O_O /gets
Edit:
I dont know the effects were sometimes to extrem and to many on one place, and at somepoints i cant really see something, and that is not really the best. The fade between the songs was weird, i had my headphones and thought that my ears get hurted >_< But the idea was nice and the parts alone were good. but i think that was not the best video you made in my eyes. Sorry

Whoa.. This looks fairly epic!
EDIT: My eyes hurt... Too much going on here for me, I even struggled at times to spot the presence of anime. Whilst very much in sync with the music, and clearly a work of painstaking effort, it didn't really suit my tastes

No Mundane Magic =((
*gets anyway*
edit: Tono_Fyr practically summed up my thoughts on the video 100% below. But yes it does have its artistic merits. Maybe the people who have been around the site for a long time and have been exposed to too many simple styled AMVs will enjoy this more like Zarx Either way thank you once again for introducing me to this album and metal music in general last year

Yep, this is what remained of almighty Oblivion after Deaf Jester and GfN jumped of due to various reasons leaving me to complete it myself.
I was going to release my solo parts but the attitude you exude in the video description has wholly put me off the idea.
So I guess this is all anyone will see of Oblivion since we 'jumped off' and 'abandoned you' and 'left you to complete it yourself'.

Oh crap, so you finished it yourself? Ò_Ó
Edit: This must be the single most technically amazing amv I've seen "completed" up until now. It was admittedly too messy at parts but as this just happens to fall to my taste I won't complain (though what I mean is, I see why people would complain about it).
My least favorite parts were probably on track 2, whilst my favorite track was definetely track 3. That isn't too much of a constructive comment like I would have liked to give but you just know what you're doing, this video (though an incomplete compilation of parts of a never-completed project) was just perfect at what it is. You probably already knew some people would hate the effects overload while others would love it but it's a given fact that you did a damn awesome job at it. I'm definetely one of those who loved it.
The only thing that really threw me off was the audio transitions. ESPECIALLY the first one. The song seemed to have barely started as the singer sang his first line and it was like "okay, track over, noise and on to the next!". This would have been better if the singer hadn't started, or at least three lyric lines after.
Nevertheless, it was overall an amazing job. A clear 9/10 from me. I would have loved to see Jannis's parts for this. :< I'm hoping we will see DJ's, at least?
On another note, I've gotten a friend of mine totally addicted to Dark Tranquility a few months ago, bet he'd be delighted to see this. :p

Sorry man, I just couldn't resist.
As a more serious review this is still epic and I'm glad you put together this compilation. The animatrix part is probably my fav cause it has the biggest or at least the most obvious big concept behind it while the rest just feels like the usual Warheart action (and I mean you DO care a lot about the DT lyrics right? But it's probably just those big anime eyes again, they'll never mix very well with anything serious, goes for any AMV of course)
I'm amazed at how you've progressed at AE during that time, pretty much all of the effects are very original and creative, I just love how you've worked with all the different color compositions. Oh and that noise breakdown between the first tracks (the b/w one) is really artsy and I don't think I've ever seen something that professional looking before in an AMV. Keep your head up.

Well, I must admit I wrote that description when I was pretty pissed of it died. But I guess the choice of words was indeed inappropriate so I changed it.Deaf Jester wrote:Yep, this is what remained of almighty Oblivion after Deaf Jester and GfN jumped of due to various reasons leaving me to complete it myself.

Hehe, that picture is more epic than the video.Ingow wrote:

Glad you liked the video. And yes I care about the lyrics which is one of the main reasons I listen to this band but yeah it's pretty much impossible to sync the lyrics Mikael writes. But the lyrics in Inside the Particle Storm were written by Niklas Sundin and well the whole theme of the song wasn't so difficult to convert videotechnically. And on the progression yeah you got to thank GfN for that, he showed me pretty much everything I had to know for AE in order to use it properly.
